Does all their nominee list's automatically have Gerrard on it.........like headed paper?

I'm surprised they haven't put down the referee of the season and nominated for that prick for the Barca game!

My own picks from the lists would be.

GK Edwin van der Sar

Def Nemanja Vidic

Mid Andrés Iniesta

For Lionel Messi

I don't think anyone else bar Chelsea fans and other intelligent supporters appreciate

the value of Lampard. But f**k them all, he's ours.

exactly right. Let them underrate him all they want. At the end of the day, he will be a club legend and a winner at every level. And i'm sure he would take that every day of the week over a photo-op with Sepp Fatter and his minions

To be fair Frank did win it last year but Gerrard being in there is nonsensical.

His team reached the quarter finals, and he only played in one of those games. The game he didnt play in he didnt get a kick.

In fact his only contribution in the Champions League was an outrageous dive against Athletico in the last min to steal them a point in the group stages.

UEFA Club Goalkeeper of the Year

UEFA Club Defender of the Year

John Terry (Chelsea FC)

How does Pique get in over Puyol?

Vidic got murdered by Eto'o. He shouldn't win.

UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year

Xavi Hernández (FC Barcelona)

UEFA Club Forward of the Year

Lionel Messi (FC Barcelona)

They got the nomination wrong that's all

When the nominated Gerrard for UEFA Club Midfielder of the Year, they meant Southport Club Attacker of the Year

I don't understand the Gerrard love either. Maybe UEFA just has a man-crush on him...

My picks from the list:

GK - Edwin van der Sar

Def - John Terry

Mid - Andrés Iniesta

For - Lionel Messi

GK - Van der Sar

Def - Vidic

Mid - Gerrard

For - Messi

I have no idea how you can even begin to justify having gerrard in this team. Its for the best performers in the champions league, the scum got knocked out in the quarter final, quite frankly i think gerrard got far too many plaudits as it was for last season.

cant see any players outside of the Uefa and ref helping barca getting anything meslef

i also cant see why the dj basher is on the list

Gerrard scored very important goals for Liverpool in the group stages and was excellent against Real Madrid. Admittedly Iniesta could win it, but justified nomination in my opinion

justified over lampard who`s club went further, who scored equally if not more important goals for his club? iniesta and xavi were both head and shoulders above gerrard in last years comp.

Watch a rerun of the quarter final first leg and see how many times he touched the ball - then tell me you think he deserves it.

Lampard also scored the 2 goals in the quarter final to make sure that we got through. Very hard to justify his inclusion in here at all over lamps, and i cant understand a chelsea fan that would take sugar ray gerrard here over frank.

sorry sals but i think you'll find lamps wasnt an option otherwise i obviously would have. relax we're all supporting the same team here :hiding:

mmm still dont understand how you placed gerrard above iniesta or xavi

Well i have explained so perhaps you'd care to read :hiding:

I did read but you are saying he was excellent in the 1st knockout round and the group stages. Iniesta especially was fantastic in the quarters, the semi and the final. There is no legitimate argument to gerrard getting this award over iniesta.

ive read it and your reasons make no sense really. gerrard had o2 decent games throughout the whole comp and was anonymous when we beat them in their biggest game of the whoe comp.

Once again you aren't reading. Go back to the previous page. I said "admittedly iniesta could win it" but that i believe gerrard is a "justified nomination"
