Scott im not suggesting I support Mourinhos policy in relation to youth players, Im simply stating that its fact and everyone needs to get used to it. The only way a youth player is going to break into the first XI under Mourinho would be if he is a freak of nature. Other than that the best we are likely to get is going to be seeing someone for 5 mins at the end of a Cup game when we are comfortable. Personally, like you, id rather a youngster was given an opportunity every now and then, however Jose wants tried, tested and reliable, and youll get that with Tiago. He isnt going to blow the world away but if called upon he is a no risk. Im not going to argue with Mourinho though. I wanted him back and knew full well that this would be how it was going to be.

I was just going to say the same thing DB. We certainly benefited from our fair share of decisions. WBA no doubt and as you say Liverpool at home also sticks out too, We should've been down to 10 men after 90 seconds. There will be others too. Its all horses for courses, no point in digging too deep. Villa away was galling no doubt about it and cost us a point (at least), but Sunderand ? hmmm. No excuses for me yes we were done on a couple of things but this was the bottom team at home and we were top of the league, it simply shouldnt have been a talking point. I dont think luck came into it this season at all, when it came down to it we just didnt have it in us. Or to put it more bluntly we just were not good enough. Definitely on the right track though.
