Yep Torres has nothing to do with being picked ahead of them. He has never made any comments about playing him or otherwise he would be devastated and become "one of those players". His agents haven't been paddling dropping Drogba and playing different tactics while the Drogs was still around.

That worked out swimmingly last season If we want to win the League - Torres should be no where near the squad for League games

Or maybe.. just maybe he values playing more than going to a top club and sitting on the bench - I know this idea might be heresy to some, but Lukaku has time on his side in terms of winning trophies and playing in top teams(he certainly didn't play much for us)

I mentioned this last summer but didn't want to believe it. Still I don't feel as bad about Lukaku as I did with the Sturridge fiasco because simply I don't rate him as highly. I still think he should have been our #1 striker last season and if he was around we might have won the League. At least we now have Costa and not Eto'o/Ba/Torres Expect us to use the money and buy an English/Homegrown striker now I don't have hard feeling for Lukaku, I think it's best for him to play regularly even if its with a team like Everton which is obviously a step down. Torres is still here and Sturridge and Lukaku are both gone without getting 1/10 of a chance - what a frustrating situation.

Kaka was never first choice at Real though - they hardly tried to make it work as much as we did
