It's a combination of that horrific Scouse accent and talking absolute bollox that has him in contention

WC 2018
He was sent off in the first match of the season for stamping on Dele Alli (understandable enough I suppose). He seems to have kept himself out of trouble for the most part since, but you'd never know with him. That said I think he was unlucky to miss out. Bertrand too.

WC 2018
If the rumours are true about Hart and Wilshere being left out then I say fair play to Southgate for being the first England manager in a long time to have the balls to drop "big" names and pick players based on form.

Amazed at the Barca scoreline (and the lineup) but I was just reading online there that they are playing a friendly in South Africa midweek and are contractually obliged (supposedly) to play the big names, hence why Messi and several others were rested. Whether or not it's true about having to play them in the match during the week and resting them for this match because of it, it's absolutely insane to arrange a friendly match between the penultimate and final games of the season. I thought it was stupid when we played City in the US a few years ago and the tour in Australia that we did after winning the league were f**king stupid, but at least we never did anything this insane.

Lee Mason - CFC charged by FA (AGAIN)
I'm like WeatherMan in not buying into conspiracy theories, but I also agree with the description of this charge as petty and spiteful. It's not even for failing to control our players but for failing to ensure the players "conducted themselves in an orderly fashion". What the f**k does that even mean? And has any other team faced this specific charge before? I asked in the match thread do we ever see refs blow for half or full time right when a corner is being taken right on the second we reach the end of the added on time (the "minimum" amount of added time we get reminded when refs decide to play on and on). I also pointed out that right at the end he let Huddersfield waste nearly a minute to take the free kick and then blew up seconds after. In the grand scheme of things he didn't have much impact on last nights result, but the overall standard of refereeing in this league is f**king appalling. And then to make it even worse most of them have this arrogant, dismissive, almost superior attitude which is in no way warranted or deserved.

Rudiger looks fairly pissed off in that interview. "The quality is there"

As if it wasn't obvious enough what a c**t Mason is, he confirms it by giving that free kick, let them dick about for a minute (yes a whole minute) before taking it and then doesn't add the time on. Anyway, we weren't good enough and got what we deserved from tonight and the season as a whole.

Are Willian and Hazard having a competition to see who can do the most stutters and stepovers?

Yes! Scrappy but it'll do.

Lots of possession with little in the way of chances created. Huddersfield set up to get out with a 0-0 and it's working for them so far.

What a d**khead, when do you ever see a ref blow it up right on the dot when a corner is about to be taken?

I'm young enough to not have had to go through that so I can only imagine what it's like. But if you look down through the lower leagues you can see what a slippery slope relegation can be. Look at Sunderland going from the PL to League 1 in 2 years. Other teams like Wolves and Wigan, even Southampton the last time they went down. Things can change very quickly for clubs.

Race for Top 4
Leicester have been sh*te the last few weeks so it's difficult to see them snapping out of that. Hopefully they can return the favour to us and stick it to Spurs again. First though we have to win tomorrow, which I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't.

Alex Ferguson seriously ill in hospital Sky Sports are saying. Twitter rumours say he's in a coma.

Hopefully the manager has learned his lesson and will stick with their usual formation, namely playing 4 at the back instead of 3. What he was thinking last week is beyond me.

Real scrape through again, somehow. Bayern should be kicking themselves (and they all should be lining up to do likewise to the keeper), with the chances they created over both legs they should have easily won. Hopefully Roma can save the footballing world tomorrow night and dump those c**ts out. I couldn't handle 3 weeks listening to the bullsh*t in the buildup to the final, never mind if they actually win the f**king thing. We've seen how they celebrate a home draw with West Brom, what will they do if they actually win something?

f**k it, Fiorentina 2-0 against Napoli now. Juve have it in the bag now surely.

0 away points for Arsenal in 2018. That's a shocking stat.

After the start Inter had to the season it's crazy that they are looking like missing out on top 4. Too many draws. Without Icardi they'd be f**ked. Hopefully Napoli win tomorrow and Roma can do them a favour in a few weeks.

Pjanic should have seen a second yellow for that. Referee has been pretty generous to Juve tonight.
