Random Rumours
Apparently GK Thibaut Courtois will be at Chelsea this week. His father says we have agreed a deal with Genk with only personal terms to be finalised. Source : Twitter. Any idea on how good he is ?

Falcao to Chelsea?
Falcao is negotiating a new deal with Porto. As good a player as he is, we really dont need him.

Why no Kakuta talk?
The thing is that even if we as fans are patient with youngsters, will the club show the same patience we do ? We have just sold off Jack Cork to Southampton because he was 22 and could not make it to the first team at his age. I kept following burnley and looked keenly at player ratings at the end of the most games to see that even though he was young, jack looked the calmest on the pitch, could pick a pass and was voted MOTM many times. All I wanted to see was him given a chance to see if he can cut it at the highest level but we'll never find out. No one remembers that we bought Lampsy in when he was 23 and he grew into the world class player he is because of the level he played at and players he trained with. Why couldn jack achieve the same ? Anyway, because of the incredible standards set by the likes Messi, Hazard, Wilshere and other teenage superstars, we expect our youngsters too to blossom before 20 and if not, they re stamped "not good enough" . The same thing is happening with Bruma , who at 19 already has dutch caps but I'm sure his loan deal at the end of 2 years will be made permanent and we'll have sold another of our promising youngsters without ever giving them a chance at Chelsea. Last year was supposed to be the year when we used our youth and Ancellotti will tell you that he did and they weren good enough but the truth is that he dint use them right or dint use them at all. The game we lost to sunderland 3-0 at home, Carlo played Paolo at centre back when he could have easily given Bruma a chance. And the game against Aston Villa, Bruma had a fine game but Carlo attributed Heskey's headed goal as Bruma's fault and we never saw him again. With Kakuta, Bayern were after him last year and we promised him game time and got him to sign a 4 year deal but after one start (he was substituted at half time) and a couple of 80th min substitutions we loaned him out. Carlo always took to the 'safety first' approach playing Malouda and Kalou and Anelka ahead of Kakuta or even Sturridge for that matter. Perhaps Josh was the exception but even he was played out of position because it was safer. There is no point boasting of a young squad if we're constantly buyin super talented youngsters at the age of 21 for 25 million pounds. The fans are prepared to be patient if the club recognizes the potential of our academy and is patient through the process of unlocking it in a player. Here's to hoping that AVB and his new management team are going to put things right at CFC.

Why no Kakuta talk?
Well, every time he made an appearance for Fulham, he looked dangerous and seemed to give them an extra dimension. I remember reading that even Fulham fans were perplexed as to why he was not given more opportunities. And remember he won the golden ball in the under 19 championships last year. So he is definitely good enough. The question is, how does he fit in into our side.. In any case, I think we should and AVB will use him more in the coming season. He's got tricks, he's got pace and he's got flair -all of which we could do with. AVB spoke importantly about how he wanted to help players realize their potential and make them express themselves. Kakuta would be the perfect player to work on. He really could be great.

Essien injured?
I've got a feeling that AVB might bring in Porto midfielder Fernando Reges as Essien replacement. I hear he's an excelllent player !
-
Samir Nasri
Nasri makes more sense than Modric imo.. Creative wide who can play support rather than creative central..

Players you forgot had ever played for us
Enrique De Lucas

Chelsea chase Hiddink (merged)
Cant be true.. or could it ? What could possibly be the problem Roman had with Ray Wilkins ?

Quality alternative to Sneijder/Modric
He probably needs a move to a better club to help him develop in the right direction. His quality is evident though. I ve also heard that he has fantastic attitude and money and wages are the last things on his mind. He just wants to play and improve. Lampard was not a wonderkid when he came to us. But he had the right attitude to work and develop. Dzagoev could be the next Lampard with more ability to start off with.

Quality alternative to Sneijder/Modric
Alan Dzagoev. We even have first refusal on him.Has been a regular for CSKA moscow for the past 2 years. He's 20 and dreams to play for Chelsea.
-
If we only signed one player, who would you choose?
Sanchez. Any day. Pity we werent in the race for him.
-
Kevin De Bruyne
Lets face it, even if we do get Neymar, If Real Madrid come calling in a couple of years, he is going to want to go. (his agent already wants him to play only there). He is simply not going to be a club legend if he comes to chelsea, rather just a fantastic player who left to Real Madrid/ Barcelona in a couple of years. I'd rather have us spending on players like Lukkaku who dream to play for Chelsea and help them grow to be world class. Makes more sense in the long run.

Falcao to Chelsea?
"I am leaving things up to my agent," said Falcao. "I am very calm about the situation but I know there has been some movement. I am convinced I can play in a superior league like England. If Chelsea is interested in me then all that needs to happen is for negotiations to take place." (© Independent News Service) Link http://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/backing-for-wilkins-cost-hiddink-return-to-stamford-bridge-2805680.html If We are getting Falcao ,we would then have Drogba, Anelka, Kalou, Torres, Falcao, Sturridge and Lukkaku- if we are still in for him that is. ANelka and Kalou must surely go. Maybe Lukkaku can be sent on Loan to a PL club and we could have Falcao Torres Drogba and Sturridge as our 4 strikers. I would be gutted if we let Sturridge leave. He has proven that he is quality and can score in the PL. He deserves first team opportunities this season.

Slobodan Rajkovic
"He will not only play for, but captain a big club" - Albert Ferrer, the current Vitesse Manager on Rajkovic. I was really excited when we bought him for all that money. Really hope Chelsea, under AVB, give the youngsters a chance to show what they've got before selling them off to smaller clubs for lesser money that what we paid for them!! I used to think Bruma and Rajkovic would be a great CB pairing for the future... Still do.

He would probably honour his contract at Turkey. If,they dont qualify, he'd probably join us as DOF in September.

New manager
I read somewhere that Jose could have recommended AVB to Roman. In any case, I think Boas will use a good combination of the young and the experienced. Looking forward to seeing the likes of Sturridge, Kakuta and McEachran quite a lot of game time. :)

I wonder what we said to get him to quit porto and join us. Seems a pretty hardcore Porto lad. Funny, Barca doesn feel so un-defeatable anymore

Guardian says we ve agreed a 5 year deal. BLOODY HELL

Transfer Fees
Whats also frustrating is that we sell our players at rock bottom prices. I can remember only Robben who was sold at a reasonably good profit. We buy high, sell low. Something is seriously wrong with our transfer policy and/or scouting network.

Kevin De Bruyne
We could possibly loan Kakuta to Anderlecht instead of De Bruyne and give De Bruyne some first team action here. As much as I would like to see Kakuta be given opportunities at chelsea,i think, he would find it difficult competing against the likes of our other strikers or midfieders at the moment. Some regular football would help him and a quality winger like De Bruyne could help us when we need some flair on the flanks..
