the fact that conte is taking training means nothing... he has to continue fulfilling his obligations if he wants the sevrance package in full. Reports are that Sarri saga is almost finished and as soon as Sarri is finalized, Conte will get the sack (not the first time he will have left a club during preseason preparations)... ADL being the asswipe that he is is probably leveraging the fact that our preseason starts tomorrow and that we are desperate to sign sarri ASAP in order to ask for more than double his original release... I say we let out lawyers and sarri’s lawyers make a case for constructive dismissal since napoli have already hired a new manager... it might take longer but we can have conte doing the preseason for now, or some assistant coaches, and then as soon as sarri is freed via lawyers, we sack conte for good and give the reins to sarri... it’s a lot messier than straight up paying his ridiculous 20M demand but at least we don’t have to pull our pants down and bend over to that douche

who do you guys rate more between alisson and courtois? I personally see them as being similar quality... I'd be happy to keep thibaut if he commits long term but I also wouldn't mind selling him if he's desperate to leave and bring in alisson. I just hope we don't end up losing thibaut and not getting alisson because the other "available" goalkeepers aren't that amazing

meh, if you consider winning in a weaker league where you're playing for the overwhelming favorite better than playing for the most successful English team in the last 15 years in a superior and much more competitive league, sure... not certain I agree though. If you mean missing out on CL, yeah that would be a temporary step back although I feel confident we'll be back-in next year if we back sarri with some quality signings. I understand the delay with Sarri's deal as it's complicated by a bunch of different factors and hope it'll be done soon but why haven't we fired Conte yet? Are we hoping that by some miracle some club comes in for him between now and when we sign Sarri? The goal line clearance was the epitome of the amazing game luiz had against what some call the best national team there ever was... I'm still shocked so many chelsea fans have bought into the media's portrayal of luiz... The guy is our most talented player behind hazard and mata and is by far one of the most exciting to watch...
