  1. Well, I never.... a BJ from ManUtd Rio, you've been tumbled
  2. I was with you all the way until "trouble-making d**khead" for not only is that a reasonable description for at least 3 of my sons, it also strengthens my alignment with SpudULike in the belief that tolerance of more disparate opinions stimulates discussion to the benefit of the forum, though clearly SpudULike makes the case more eloquently.
  3. Me too -- though in truth not as much as I'm looking forward to the next instalment of your love-in with Beer Crew.
  4. I'm missing Haggis already. I certainly didn't agree with all his views but I enjoyed the fact that no one was safe from his slings and arrows which I found refreshing and particularly pertinent when mirrored by the Spuds, in maintaining the y*d word, who so very righteously gave a thumb in the eye to the pissy FA and similarly odious Clarke Carlisle. While I'm happy to accept a consensus that his previous posts might have merited a 'quiet word in the ear' or indeed a 'Yellow', I'm disappointed should Haggis' choice of 'homosexual' in relation to the Fernando/Vertonghen incident be deemed a straight Red. I was uncomfortable with the subsequent charge of 'homophobia' for did that not in itself, display an even greater degree of intolerance, albeit from a polar opposite start position. Not for me, I prefer a world of 'speak as you find' and 'live and let live' as admirably demonstrated by... "When asked if they wanted sex with me, 30% of women said "YES" The remaining 70% said "What again?" Silvio Berlusconi cements his popularity and my vote
  5. from the land of ice cream, a cure for unruly behaviour
  6. "Lost in Translation" Thankyou, what a wonderful start to my day
  7. for Ed Balls-up and Billy Bragg, during their visit to Brighton next week
  8. should I ever have to "sing for my supper" this is the one, from Jimmie (brother of Stevie Ray), as even I'd be in with a chance of remembering the chorus... proof positive that "Thrupennys" can sell anything http://youtu.be/z8b39aLDODo
  9. a guaranteed knees-up for me and my mates at that time, with the added bonus that I wasn't the shortest fella in the place. Graham Parker, small fella with giant voice and stage presence, now residing in the US where he's an accomplished novelist: Carp Fishing on Valium... top man in my book

No, I've checked my overpowering Norton... I walk very slowly past the Girly Toys shop most days. If you're unhappy with the topic I'll willingly abide by your decision and do penance by eating my crash helmet and posting the video
  11. not my favourite Rory No. -- its the contrast between the power of his performance and the cherubic expressions on the faces of the crowd that sparks me up

www.shortfuseat1066.org.uk Given the limitations for self fulfilment/employment opportunities in current Hard Times UK, Short Fuse might be an option for your consideration. They have a simple mandate:- they welcome "short stories" from anyone of any age and on any subject, which are then read by experienced authors. They make no claim to fame and fortune but, at the very least, it affords an opportunity for everyone to kick at the door we might otherwise have perceived as ajar solely to a minority. Be encouraged, they even thanked me for my contribution -- conceived on a rainy afternoon during a break from mind-numbing decorating -- as if an insight into the bollo that spins between my ears could possibly inspire gratitude in anyone! And as in so many of the best things in life you've absolutely nothing to lose by giving it a try, your brain will love you for the exercise and it affords an escape from the narrow confines of Twitter and FaceAche... costs? just the Email for your "short story" and there's no ongoing commitment. I've not the remotest affiliation to Short Fuse -- I noticed their flyer in the window of a shop displaying "Girly Toys" -- and my motivation springs solely from learning (BBCNews24) that many young unemployed people choose to "kill the day" by sleeping through... exactly the same practice my old man employed during his enforced stay at Her Majesty's establishment opposite Park Royal station... and that's a criminal (Ooops, sorry Pops) waste of life.
  13. i'm with you and share your hopes on the wedge.Feet still not touching the ground after Wednesday, the Mancs then make me even happier... next time they reach for their passports will be for their summer hols... ain't football wonderful !!!
  14. my fuse is getting warmer... besides its your (women's) fault, I grew up in a household of elder sister, mother and grandmother... what sort of hand was that to deal a simple boy !!!
  15. Be assured, normal service will be resumed next time my fuse is lit !!!I'm the monkey on my own back, believing this stems from dividing my time between two countries, my head's constantly in a spin, though you'll be gladdened to hear that I'm on the last lap of a permanent move abroad... where my attempts to communicate are greeted with even greater incredulity... ...day before I left for GB (can I still use that phrase post-Blair?) I was on the beach with a friend (native) named 'Iso', when a girlfriend of hers came up and they went into a machine gun conversation which lost me at "Hello" -- how do women do that without drawing breath??? When her friend left Iso asked me if I liked her (friend) to which I replied "Mmmm, she's nice, shame about the picasso". "picasso?" queried Iso "she's got 6 cheeks" I replied, "2 inside her bikini and 4 outside"...no surprise I got 'stupid english' look for the remainder of the day from Iso.
