These senior players know the game far better than anyone in our squad. If they think AVB tactics are ruining Chelsea why should they be quiet? I've read in the sun (sh*t newspaper so unconfirmed) that Cole said "you won't win anything with these tactics" and I fully have to agree, it is complete rubbish that simply does not win any silverware at the top level.

Sorry, I refuse to believe in the idea that we have declined this much in the space of 6 months. It's obviously inevitable that we do due to the ages of our players, but it has not started last season nor when we won the double. It has started roughly 6 months ago when Andre was appointed. Don't let our end points from last season fool you; we were nearly toe to toe with Man U that year in the league thanks to an amazing comeback. I already said - fair enough that City & Spurs have improved dramatically. But to be 17 points off top & messing around with the clueless liverpool or the wrecked arsenal? Any points about injuries are moot. Look at arsenal, they sold 3/4 of their best players, who created the core of their team. They also had another important player out (wilshire) & numerous defensive problems & yet are level on points with us. Man U have lost Vidic, pretty much their only world class defender (the rest range from mediocre to bad) and yet comfortably challenging.

I agree that Benitez ain't the best or 'Chelsea material' but was Grant or AVB 'Chelsea material'? There's at least 5 managers I would prefer right now but we either sacked em or they are at other clubs.
