JMaher94 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 For me it's possibly Terry or Lampard. Heart and soul of our football club! Opinions?
wxwax Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Osgood, Bonetti, Chopper Harris, Terry, Lampard, Drogba.
erskblue Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Charlie Cooke in the past, Lamps at the moment.
Spiller86 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Got to say I still think Dennis Wise myself.
Adzio Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 i have lived through 4 ages of Chesea , for me leadership , loyalty and commitment are important . Ron Harris John Bumstead / Colin Pates Dennis Wise John Terry
dkw Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Either Pat Nevin or Kerry Dixon for me as those were the 2 most exciting players when I could first really get more from the game as I was about 10.
High Street Ken Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Ron Harris for me. I guess your answer to this question will largely be dictated by your age. At 51, I grew up in the Harris, Osgood, Hutch, Cooke era and Chopper will always represent Chelsea for me. In his latter years he showed a lot more class than people give him credit for, using his brain more than his studs.
ossie13 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 (edited) Peter Osgood Pat Nevin Wisey & Zola J T Edited February 23, 2012 by ossie13
Eight Times Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Oddly, when I read the thread title, first player that sprung to mind was Tore Andre Flo.
Zeta Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 No-one in particular really. In years gone by it probably would have been someone like Zola or Terry or Lampard, but at the moment no-one stands out.
Nibs Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Even though I was only a nipper, it has to be Ossie......."Born is The King of Stamford Bridge". The iconic pictures of our No.9 in the old style kit and the sideburns. Scoring in every round of the FA Cup, the statue, etc etc.......... My Chelsea hero remains wee Pat Nevin and then of course you have Zola, JT and Lamps but Ossie is still The King.
Chippy Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Charlie Cooke, Bobby Tambling, Peter Osgood, got me started and I don't thibk I'll ever idolise players like back then (might be an age related thing) Dixon, Nevin, Zola, Wise, Vialli, Gullit. I could go on and on, but for this particular era its got to be Terry and Drogba.
Uno Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Wisey when he was here and now to be honest its Lamps. It probably should be JT but Lamps comes to mind.
PloKoon13 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Thinking about Chelsea as a concept I'm getting images of Chopper Harris, but as a contemporary force I think of John Terry with Cech and Lampard standing either side.
NoSeatingInTheShedInMyDay Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Present - JT, Lampard and Drogba. Past - Ray Wilkins, Clive Walker, Ron Harris, Garry Stanley, Micky Droy, Gianfranco Zola, Mickey Nutton.
SydneyChelsea Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Gianfranco Zola and Gianluca Vialli. And I regret that we turned away from their image into what we are now.
Rami Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 JT,Lamps,Drogba,Essien,A.Cole Chelsea 21th century.
