  1. I mean it's the right decision to punish the diver, but unless they just updated the rule for VAR intervention before the game, not sure how was VAR allowed to get involved, it's not like the Argentinean player was getting the sent off. It's just coincidentally this call happened in a game involved Argentina, can't make this up, coincidental Saturday again.
  2. What's the odds of Argentina getting another penalty against Switzerland next game? For me the biggest issue is not whether the correct decision was made on that Egyptian goal, it's the fact they happily roll back the whole replay to identify a fault within the Egyptian goal, but totally let the Argentia goal setw ithout a look. Just about every important 50-50 ( some not even close calls) went in favor of Argentina for this and last world cup, they got 8 Penalties compare to the next best team ( on 3) for the last 2 cups. Messi had a full foot stamp in the first game against Algeria, and not even checked. The favoritism has been go on for 2 cups now, last night it finally hit a nerve. Whoever stands in Argentina's way, need to play well and more importantly not get screwed over like those went before them.
  3. It's beyond me how Roberto Martinez kept getting these high profile national team jobs, what's next, Brazil or Germany? Even with the players he had on the bench, should have pushed Spain into the extra time.
  4. Not a fan of Xhaka, but if this is part of the Alonso's grand plan, all for it to happen. I can't recall last time we signed a 33 year old ( Etto maybe?), get 2 years out of the player with CL qualification and a trophy or 2, 10M+ it's money well spent.
  5. I'm not too familiar with Real these days, how did Alonso fail, couldn't handle the big egos in the dressing room? I suppose he won't have that problem with this team, the lads may just listen after the last pretender we had in charge.
  6. The lack of Eurpoean football may just help Alonso in his new reign, more time on training drills, less fatigue at the business end of the season.
  7. Let's hope VAR get some official credits for winning Arsenal the title, player of the month easily. Watched ( listened) the VAR referees decision making for that West Ham 'disallowed' goal, on field referee saw nothing wrong, first view by normal speed saw nothing wrong, tried a different angle still nothing wrong, until this genius said let's freeze this frame here, my god there was an arm on the Arsenal GK, no goal, quick🤐 They never wanted the goal to stand
  8. Did our job, but let's be honest this Spurs team is god damn awful apart from a couple of players we could use. Whatever happens on the last day, one of these hated London clubs will go down, a sound ending to the season.
  9. Hard done by, to be honest I didnt realise Neymar is still playing football, thought he semi-retired and just taking the p1ss .
  10. Count it as a win if the deal materialize.
  11. Took those in charge 4 years to realize the need of a real manager in charge, and get some proper players, I suppose it's better be really late than never . Let's say how much they back him in the transfer window. I'd like to see some dead weights out, I'm sure Alonso will improve players, just can't expect him to improve 10-25 of them.
  12. Is it too much to ask to put up a real performances and send Spurs into a nervous last day of the season? There are so much on the line, it's called sending your most hated rival down the drains.
  13. At least a manager with Aura and record on the field and touchline, compares to the last guy we had ☹️ It's progress, now make it real by giving him some real power, instead of trusting the 5 snake oil salesmen SD
  14. The game went as expected, cagey final game. The scoreline flattered us, City would have gone 2 up earlier if not for the lack of final touches on several occasions, Cherki evidently drove a few of their guys crazy. The gulf between the 2 sides is quite evident, and to be honest unless a couple of our players put out a 10/10 game, we had little chance.
  15. Fark VAR and referees behind it, if that was a fault, 60% of the corners scored this year should be over turned. VAR is already a tool to decide results to suit the 'greater' needs. It's hard to be sympathetic to West Ham, but if they get relegated by a point, should take it to court.
  16. Anyone could miss a penalty, and despite the season he's having, he's still among the top 3 players we got. Didn't he just get an extension, doubt he will leave anytime soon, unless huge money is coming in.
  17. The players were either saving their energy for the FA cup final next weekend, or already on holidays. It's pretty disrespectful for the fans that this team didn't even put up a fight against a B Nottingham team. Just beat the Spurs and get them relegated, and we can call this season another transition.
  18. If we somehow manages to win it, all will be forgiven😄
  19. Never in this for winning football, but open a global player trading platform, and after about 4 years that's what we got. What will happen during the next transfer window is anyone's guess, even the intent is to get proven players, doubt we will have that much leverage compares to 4 seasons ago.
  20. Here came the scapegoat, so others could prosper at the club for a few more years. At least Liam get a handsome paid out, and already shared something in common with legends like Jose and Carlo. It was never the right appointment, most of us knew it from day 0, but these mugs went for it anyway, and kicked him out while he's down.
  21. 24 hours ago was we could win 5 in a row, then it was this. Brighton was kind, could have easily been 4 or 5. I thought we might have got a point before the game, I mean 4 loses on the trot was pretty rock bottom, surely we could only get better, guess I was wrong. Surely, we can't lose 6 in a row without a goal, right?
  22. Considering Bourmeouth has a better manager than us now, and getting a better manager than Rosenior for the next season, how the hell did we get here? ☹️
  23. If we are going to play Delap, at least have a couple of good crossers could hit aerial ball. The style we are playing make him looks lost most of the time. It's another example of other clubs wanted him, so has to be a good choice.
  24. It's really strange to hear a manager address a player as MR, guess that's just the strange place the club is at. Happy he's signed up for another extension, but is this really the priority right now, or just a layer of protection to protect club asset?
  25. Out of his depth, the comment about the goal was more like a rant from a 13 year old fan than from a manager. We have serious deficiencies at both ends of the field. The usual trusted goal source of Palmer has completely dried up, the striker situation made Jackson of last season looked a sound option, and why is Gernacho still getting game time is beyond most people's guess. Still got 2 FA cup games to save the season, but it's unlikely to say the least.
