  1. You are pretty accurate with what you have predicted of late Star but this sounds more like you having a laugh rather than believing the source which you talk about. Suarez is better than what we have, but no way do I see 2 of our players going there plus cash for him.
  2. Luiz to United? lol http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/manchester-united-transfers-david-luiz-2230372
  3. Article calls Torres and "top quality replacement" for Saurez so think it may be a little off the mark there lol.
  4. Maybe he wants both that and our huge signing on fee as well.
  5. If that came from Rui he is probably taking the piss. The deal is dead, Rooney wont forgo his loyalty pay and United do not want to sell to us. Move on to the next target.
  6. Looks like we are getting both of them. Eto'o I would guess on a a 1 year deal with the option for a further year (in case United do not sell Rooney there or Eto'o does amazingly well). Jose said if one comes in one leaves, we are all fairly sure Eto'o in = Ba Out As for Willan most on here believe Moses goes out on loan, but I wonder if we would be better served loaning (or selling) Essien to make room. Ramires, Mikel and MvG call all play alongside Lamps in the two deep position and I believe Jose could get Oscar and KdB playing well in that role Lamps normally fills. We keep our HG option in Moses then. Not likely but an option.
  7. Why be afraid of Spurs though, think about it. We have United and City to compete with for the title. Spurs signings could make them a threat to 3rd place if we struggle like we have done in recent seasons, but with the quality City have added and the quality United have, plus the ungodly ability to churn out results week in and week out when playing like dross, I just do not see them overtaking those sides. So if the articles said we were worried about Spurs being a threat to a top 4 place, then way to state the obvious they have been for the past 2 seasons. But the title? Please. United and City are the bench marks we have to worry about surpassing.
  8. Speaking of Arsenal, remember that we were willing to sacrifice Gallas to get Ash? If giving up Mata means we get Rooney, it would not be unprecedented for our club to let it happen.
  9. Sounds like not a great performance by us at all, but a win is a win and United have shown, year in and year out, winning when not playing so well wins Championships.
  10. Well he is back, and that is what we used to do to win titles with him in charge. Go a goal or two up and then shut out the other side and settle for what we have.
  11. Very poor viewing at the moment, lucky to still be up 2.
  12. Would say the Mail are on the money then. As, has to be said, is Star or so it appears.
  13. He may be unhappy or he not but I just do not see United selling to us.
  14. I just do not see a Rooney deal happening for us now. I am also left curious by our supposed interest in Eto'o. What Jose has been asking for is a striker who can play his way around defenders rather than look to get in behind them, the strengths of Torres, Lukaku and Ba. Not sure Eto'o fills that need.
  15. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/aug/13/wayne-rooney-not-for-sale-chelsea Time to move on then...
  16. All depends who is the more determined, Rooney to leave or United to keep him.
  17. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2388435/David-Luiz-transfer-latest-Barcelona-expect-tell-Chelsea-wants-leave.html
  18. Indeed, if Luiz does want to go he should submit a formal transfer request.
  19. Be disappointed to see him go if he decides he wants to leave. But end of the day is up to him, like any of our players. If they would rather be elsewhere then so long as we get a good price.
  20. Of course they do, they are trying to unsettle him like they and Real do for their transfer targets so they can get him to hand in a transfer request and go on the cheap. Barca are a cheap mans Real Madrid, at least the latter is willing to pay for the quality they receive.
