Is Rooney worth a punt?
Ah fair enough then. Hopefully Lamps and JT do not still have those "match highest earner" clauses if Ibra or Rooney are signed...
-
Cesc Fabregas
No for me, Mata is his superior in every way.

Is Rooney worth a punt?
1st is a no go, Klopp, Lewys agent and Bayern have all but confirmed he will be at Bayern next season. 2nd is a decent shout and may well happen, depending on how PSG are to deal with when selling rather than buying. 3rd No way Suarez comes to us on cheap wages, he would shoot up to comfortably above the 125k mark imo. Really don't want him here, even though he is a very good player. As far as Rooney goes, think the way United are fobbing him off he may just come in with the bit between his teeth. End of the day whoever Jose wants I back 100%, that includes signing no one else.

Is Rooney worth a punt?
Hah yeah such a strategy is very much up Fergies ally. If that is true then the next question is, is Jose a big enough mug to fall for it or would he be able to see Rooney does not have enough to offer us. Or does Jose believe he can get a few more top years out of Rooney. The future of Zlatan might prove a complication here.

De Rossi to Chelsea?
Yeah the signing of Maicon for Roma makes me think either we refused to loan Wallace to them, he turned them down or Roma decided they would rather have Maicon. Either way seems like it may have fallen through.

Drogba to return?
As a coach and part of the setup up I hope he does come back next year, if he decides to retire. As far as a player goes he left at a perfect time on a perfect end to his legacy. Just as Zola did.

For both sides as we would have no one holding.

Official: Chelsea sign Mark Schwarzer
Good job by the club. Someone of proven talent and experience so Petr can actually get a decent rest at times this season. No reason why Big Pete needs to play at all in the League cup now. Mark should also be given games in the League, Fa cup and CL group stages.

Christian Benteke
We are linked with him strongly then within a day he puts in a transfer request. Hmm me thinks someone has had a word to him and he wants to go to whoever that is. Could be he comes in and Ba goes out.

De Rossi to Chelsea?
Think this signing should be our prority. GK: Cech, Plus 1, Blackman/Walker Def: JT, Luiz, Cahill, Brana, Cole, Bertrand, Azpi, Kalas/Omeruo CM: Di Rossi, Essien, Lampard, MvG, Oscar, Ramires. WM: KdB, Mata, Hazard, Moses, Schurrle. CF: Torres, Ba, Lukaku. Seems like a good overall mix to me.

Cavani-Torres swap deal
If PSG are bidding high do not see this coming off unless we met the release clause. Which would seem a way over the top price to me. Think we need to find option D, and if no good option D is about, stick with Ba, Torres and Lukaku.

Random Rumours
Still though it seems insane to consider selling Mata or Luiz to raise funds for who exactly? Especially in the case of Mata we would be selling a truly special player to get what in return?

Random Rumours
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/arsenal-transfer-news-fernando-torres-2011565 Torres to Arsenal, Mata and Luiz not considered main 11 players? Seems like the usual swill from the Mirror.

Cavani-Torres swap deal
Oh dear if that be true can see the Napoli owner following the copy book of My. Aulas at Lyon when we were after Essien...
-
Cavani-Torres swap deal
If we cannot buy class for a sensible price then we should go with Lukaku. With the attacking talent we have in the creative department, which has only been strengthened by signing Schurrle, they should score and create plenty.
-
Cavani-Torres swap deal
Really think all the previous deal reports are false and Napoli will only sell for the release clause or within a couple of mill of it, way more than we should be paying. Think we need to look at other targets and, if no one of suitable quality is available, then stick with Torres, Ba and Lukaku.

Cavani-Torres swap deal
Well if we were trying to get Falcao then this would be the ballpark amount that we set aside to sign him before Monaco blew us out of the water. So would not surprise me if we used the said set amount for Cavani in the hope he will do as good a job. I wait to see who Jose wants to keep from the current squad.

Mikel to Turkey?
When the first reports emerged about this and we would be getting 17mill it seemed like a decent piece of business. Now though we are talking a mere 7mill, for a player on a long term contract to make a loss on the young lad we had to pay through the nose for to get and battle United for all those years ago. Were we the ones buying him from Gala the price would be over 20mill. We do not seem to do so well when selling our players.

The 2013/2014 Fixture list: Sky + BT Sport
Wow first time in a long time we have had a few of the bigger sides in the first few fixtures of the season, and 3 away in a row no less. Also our last 6 or so games only Liverpool there from the traditional "big" club. Best end of season run in in a very, very long time too. A very good test for Jose and the lads at the start of the season.

No Cavani, No Lewandowski, then which striker?
If we cannot get someone of top, top quality. I.e. a Cavani, a Lewy, then I would sooner see us go in to the serious with Lukaku added to Ba and Torres.
