Was not expecting to win today so a huge bonus. We are very much in the driving seat for Wednesday. A win there and we make it back in to the Champions League, a draw and we still have a good shot at it. Well done lads!

Lindegaard; Rafael, Evans, Vidic, Evra; Jones, Anderson, Cleverley; Valencia, Giggs; van Persie. I guess no number 1 keeper, Rio being the first choice CB these days, No Carrick and no Rooney means it is not the full first choice side. No Hernandez is good for us but would not put it past him to come on later and be a pain in our backsides. Still a very strong side and Valencia loves tacking on Ash...

Oh dear an Ivan and Luiz pairing...can see us shipping 3 goals or so with at least one going in early. Just cannot see that side winning. Hazard has been our best player of late and no JT to lead us...

Luiz is one of the select few we have that should be seen as a new untouchable that our next side should be built upon imo.

Just have a feeling that if we do not beat United top 4 will end up beyond us, likewise if we beat United I believe we will make the top 4. Spurs will comfortably beat Southampton imo. And lets see who Arsenal are playing...ah QPR...I see a thrashing on the cards there.

Just got this feeling that beating United, or not, will be the difference in our top 4 bid. I know we can list off all the crap performances against rubbish sides in the league that would have us home and dry by now. But here we are and I just worry about the knock to confidence we would get if we lost to United ahead of the Spurs game.

Yes I would. We have under-achieved as a whole this season, many areas we should have done better in. However just because we expect the best having seen the League, FA cup, League cup and Champions League all won in recent times does not mean I would turn my nose up at winning the Europa and being in the CL again next season.

I think we can expect a solid challenge from Benfica. If we play to our best we will beat them, if not could be a hard slog. Had we got Fener I think they were more likely to be brilliant or awful. The former our best would mean for an amazing final, the latter and we could be below par and still win. We should win it now. No doubt. Depends on our attitude on the day.

Very pleased to get through to the final. Great goal from Luiz again. Not sure if getting Benfica is a good or a bad thing. Think Fener were more likely to get overawed by the occasion and Benfica have a more solid side. Guess we shall see on the 15th.

Just need to see this through with a professional display. Hopefully we can do that.
