Short of them offering us in the region of £30m + and Luiz handing in a transfer request to push through a deal there is no chance of this happening.

JT might be entering into his last season next year (who knows) and so I would be surprised to see us letting one of our younger centre backs leave.

The rumours of him going to Barca were mentioned in Janaury as well, so these rumours are not new. How true they are is another question in itself.

Doubt theres much truth to this, although he certainly wouldn't be irreplaceable if he were to leave.

Debatable. Point me to a player who has as much passion for this club as him. Although I'm not sure how highly people rate that anymore.

Every player should be like that and there's a time when they were, right now it's difficult because of the totally uninspiring man leading them (FSW).

Luiz is not going anywhere. He gets the love here. I have admit though it would be easier for him to succeed in La Liga. Barca's centerbacks are as close to the opposite goal as the strikers.

this s an old story not worth  mentioning again. I think we should  looking at 35m + Song or Mascherano if they even wants us to seat on a  negotiating table with them, we have no need to sell and i doubt that roman will sanction such  move partly because he loves the boy, the fans loved him for his display of passion for the club and also for the fact that David is a hugely influential figure in persuading our other brazillian targets to come to the bridge.

I'd rather just take 35m.

If they offered us 5m or more than we payed for him I would let him go. He's not a CB for the prem, and not the midfielder we need.

Would much rather take a punt on Okore & hope that Ake can make the grade. Challobah should be given the chance in CM next season.

Barca Champions League - Us Europa or worse maybe. And to be fair Luiz suits Barca and their style to a T.

rubbish. he is a mentally deficient footballer. barca players are based around tactical awareness

I would suggest if Barca offered us 30+ million for Luiz we'd be fools not to take it.

Sure this wont go down well with his fan club, and he's a decent player and a fun guy (some seem to think the latter is crucial) for sure, but with that money we could buy a proper defender who doesn't give heart attacks to everyone who watches him week in week out, and perhaps a promising young midfielder too.

He's very talented and got something going on, no doubt about it, and when we watch him play its like being on a rollercoaster - but is he learning and developing? I have my doubts and im not going to be fooled because he recently captained a very disinterested Brazil team.

If a good bid came in the needs of the squad should be balanced out against his possible exit and for me its a no brainer sadly.
