I've got two university exams that day and I have absolutely no idea how I'm going to keep my mind of the final. Two fails.

He should definitely stay out on loan, and hopefully at Athletico. No point in having him warming our bench, or even confining Cech to that role perhaps. What I would say however is that Chelsea needs to make sure that he doesn't forget about us. That he remembers that he is contracted to us, and as such never loses the drive and ambition to play for us one day by attaching himself to another club. I just hope the Chelsea make it clear to him how important he is to us even if he isn't playing for us at the moment.

I think there is a good chance that we're going to have to involve Hulk in these discussions soon. I've seen it from multiple accounts on twitter (Chelsea rumours and various journalists) that we are in very advanced talks over signing him. Obviously I'm no insider, but what I will say is that two of these same people predicted that we would sign Torres a week before we did last year, and 5 days before there was anything in the news, and they have proven in other situations to be reliable. They also said that it won't happen for a little while because Hulk is on holiday right now but it all seems promising. If this is all accurate, I just hope we don't pay over the top for him.

I've also found Chelsea Rumours a reliable source on Twitter, so if they are saying that then I would be very optimistic. Incidentally I think Hulk would be a great signing. A lot of strength and pace, a necessity in the PL, and skill, technique, maturity, ect, to boot. His buy out clause is that big for a reason.

Am I the only one who thinks Hilario is a pretty good back up keeper?? Certainly better than Ross.

Well, I said earlier in the thread that we wouldn't have to worry about Ribery troubling Bosingwa. He just scored a f**king good goal....

I do it due to a lack of options to be honest. I'd like to see him play a proper game on the right before the final just to see if he can do it, otherwise the likes of sturridge, kalou and Malouda shall be playing.

He certainly was. Just like Essien certainly was. I just think from what I've seen of him this season (and this has obviously been limited to mostly champions league) he can't really be called "brilliant". Obviously he's good, but IMO whoever start at RB will be able to deal with him.

Indeed, it is sad to think about. These days he seems to enjoy trying to make surf boards out of other players, Carroll for example. Sigh. Going back to the topic of this thread, it will be interesting to see if this inside knowledge on Todd will actually see him start against Blackburn. Now that we have lost to Liverpool, I wouldn't mind seeing some youth/players that need to prove they are worth a starting spot in the CL final.

Gonna have to back you in this argument. The Belgian league isn't as bad as people make out, so for him to have done so well there at his age is extremely impressive. You can't expect him to set the world alight, especially in the prem. I would imagine, as said earlier in the thread, Drogba would have been of a similar standard, possibly worse, at his age. Essentially it is far too early to be condemning this signing, even if his first season with us has been less than ideal. I also don't think he is slow, I've seen him exhibit some raw pace in a couple of his cameo appearances.

If one or both aren't fit then yes we should be very scared! In the even that neither make it I would play bosingwa and cole as centre backs and Bertrand on the left. That said, I think it is quite likely Luiz will be fit. Not so sure about Cahill though.

He's being loaned out as part of the Marko Mairn deal. He'll be playing at Werder Bremen next season.
