Don't think it's just Mount. I guess that's just how fans are in this day age. It's one of the reasons I hardly discuss football to begin with. It all just feels so toxic. The back and forth bickering and petulance. Not worth it for me.

You're not the first person to tell me that about Mount. Personally I don't see it. If he thought he was better than he is, wouldn't he take the first pen, rather than not wanting to take one at all? He delivered a wonderful assist in one of the biggest nights in the club's history. Apart from his penalties, which I don't think he should be taking anymore, when has he failed to deliver for us? You can't expect him to be the finished product at his age.

Maybe his Wembley hoodoo got to his head.

Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!
I agree. It's just with Lukaku, he was brought it in as the finished product, and yet he's the worst of the lot.

How did Mount react? Must've missed it.

I don't think Havertz should be protected. He has to start becoming a lot more consistent for us, I don't think anyone here is disputing that. With Lukaku you already know what you're gonna get. His attitude stunk at every club he's been at. Don't believe me? Ask the fans of the clubs he's been at. Apart from his disallowed goal against Liverpool in the league cup final, he has shown nothing in a Chelsea shirt worthy of being kept around next season let alone warranting being our main man up front.

Careful now, don't think you're allowed to say that on here.

By that logic he should win our player of the season award. He is our top scorer after all.

Not frequently enough, sure. He's 7 years younger than Lukaku though.

Romelu Lukaku back to Chelsea - and gone again!
That's what I'm saying. He's our top scorer and yet not a single Chelsea fan can say with a straight face that he's had even a remotely successful season. Should tell you all you need to know.

So it's not all about stats?! You can use your eyes too? Why didn't anyone tell me...

Mason Mount
Pre-injury James was probably the best player in the league for me. Since his injury Mount has been our best player, and it's not even close... In my opinion of course.

Reece James
7th time's the charm?

Sorry did I say Mount? I meant LeBron, my bad.

What sources have claimed that?

Personally I don't mind keeping him around for depth. He can be alright at times. Just shouldn't be depending on him in clutch moments. He was a disaster today though. Has to be said.

Mason Mount
He's our best player and it's not even close at the moment. Just shouldn't be taking pens anymore unless he can sort that out.

Yeah it's just never nice to see a player come off having only been subbed on. But I gotta say I thought RLC looked like he didn't know what planet he was on at times.

Can't stress this enough. We wouldn't be Chelsea if we didn't follow an incredible season with a mediocre transfer window eh? Seems to happen every time without fail.

We must join with Him, Gandalf. We must join with Sauron. It would be wise, my friend.

Honestly, if all he did was win us the Champions league, then fair enough. The guy's been a success at every club he's managed, breaking records in the process. And considering everything we've had to deal with throughout this season, I'd say he hasn't done a bad job overall. Yes he sometimes makes strange or even baffling decisions. So do other top managers though.

Unfortunately not many will see it that way. Didn't plenty of Liverpool fans want Klopp out before he steadied the ship? That's how I remember it at least. I don't think it's different at any big club. People claim they're willing to be patient with a manager or even players, but very few actually are.

Marcos Alonso
Rumor has it he got drunk at half time and insisted on taking Tuchel out for a quick drive.
