No, he hasn't. But 3 at the back would have been hard enough for a 27 year old JT to play, much less a 36 year old JT. He was never blessed with pace and now he's even slower, per father time. Kane, Son, Eriksen and Alli interchange play very quickly, I'm not sure you want JT dealing with that at LCB. He'd still excel in a back 4 with a lower block but not in this system, certainly not at LCB and Conte himself has pointed that out. He said if JT were to play it would be best for him to play in Luiz's position centrally but Luiz is hale and hearty so there's that. No need to try to force square pegs in round holes because of Spurs. Ake fits at LCB like a glove and we've all been crying for him to be given a chance since he's been recalled. This is his chance.

We have RLC, Aina and Chalobah who count as homegrown. Also, if we get get Lukaku back, he counts as homegrown as well (spent 3 seasons as a Chelsea player before 21). Think we're covered in that department. Keane is a bang average talent. No need to waste a single penny on him. Anyone else who wants to have him can have him.

Sanchez is a player like Zlatan and Ronaldo in the sense that he keeps his body in top, top shape. That means he'll surprise you and still be playing at a high level at 33. Even if he only gives us 3 elite years, it would be money well spent. We've spent 30 odd million on players like Willian who hardly score and Batshuayi who hardly even gets a shout, what's wrong with spending 40-50 mil on Sanchez? We want to win titles over the next few years and he's bang in the middle of his prime. Perfect time to get him. The wages aren't a factor. Any top 6 club can offer 200k/week these days because of the new tv deal. Add the extra factor of us having a rich owner and having CL money as well as the new kit deal coming in and we can pay a player 300k easily. It's not a problem. On the other hand, I don't think we should spend more than 65m on Lukaku. Anything more than that, Everton can f**k off.

I'd prefer Morata as I've said several times but we'll see. Certainly don't want us to depend on just one striker again. We need 2 capable strikers. Not sure if we can get both Lukaku and Morata but we'll need one more striker since it's obviously not Batshuayi. I do like the sound of a Lukaku & Morata partnership in a 3-5-2 (although I wonder where that would put Hazard and Sanchez, so perhaps a 4-2-4?). They're both different types of strikers and offer something totally different.

Still a loanee but will be made permanent this summer. He has been very good for Juventus. One of their important players. Started almost every match for them this season. Jose is hit or miss with talent.

We'll be battered in the CL with Matic in midfield. We need to get rid of him. We need to sign a top striker and sign Sanchez as well. Sign a better LWB and find competition for Moses. Bring Christensen back. I think these moves will make us ready.

Griezmann isn't a CF. Not sure why a fair bit of folks on this forum seem to think that. He's a SS. He plays behind an actual CF. He's not supposed to be in the box like a target man or anything like that. If we splashed 90m on Griezmann, we'd STILL have to buy a new CF. For Morata, it's different. He's an actual CF and a really good one at that but Fiorentino Perez is in love with Benzema so Morata will never get a proper run in the Madrid team. He will absolutely flourish as the main man on a top team. Of course they would. They're asking for 50m apparently. Fair price for the lad imo.

Everton may play that hard game though. Wasn't that long ago they repeatedly gave us the middle finger over Stones and we wasted a whole summer trying to get him. I'd certainly hope Conte would go after Morata instead of wasting the whole summer playing with Everton's tease. Ideally, I'd love both of them as well but I doubt that's going to happen. Hasn't sold Mata the 2nd time though, so you may be wrong about that.

All reports have indicated that Madrid are asking for 50m for Morata. Nowhere near as expensive as Lukaku and an even better player imo. It's a no brainer. Conte probably prefers Morata as well.

With 2 years on his contract and for that price, if they aren't willing to part with him for 60m, they can shove him up their arses.

Absolutely no chance we pay 100mil for Lukaku when we can get Morata for 50m. Get Morata and support him with Abraham. If Lukaku's anything more than 65m, it would be madness to even consider the deal any further. 100mil is just pure greed. The lad isn't worth anything near that. Hell, he's hardly worth f**king 65mil. They want a new stadium and they want us to pay for it. f**k all of that. Morata's always been the best option anyway.

How do you lot not realize that Griezmann is a SS, not an out an out CF? That's like asking the club to sign Muller and sticking him up front for a whole season. Come on now. Even Bayern have never done that apart from the occasional tactical switch mid match. Griezmann shouldn't be anywhere near this discussion. We need a pure CF.
