He was the first striker since DD to score 20 odd goals for us so surely even you can see why there were comparisons at that time especially when he was on form? 
I doubt many will dispute his childish and selfish antics now but let's not just pretend he wasn't absolutely vital for us and a huge player for a good part of previous seasons.

Cesc connects well with his teammate especially with diego costa.. goals win you game so really for f**k sake give him a good run of games.. He's done more than enough in his overall cameo appearance to suggest he can contribute to the team quite significantly... He's involved in most of the goals when he plays..
I don't need kante to wander forward that could let the team exposed during counter, he's there to protect the backline and if he's focus on doing that, it's pretty much a safe house for us because he's very good at it..

I personally believe that his recent performances should get him back in the first 11. He's been excellent of late and is controlling our midfield like he did in his first season here. Matic has taken a little dip of late too so i don't think it would be a bad move to bring him in. The back line and Kante should be enough defensively really, we need a bit more going forward again. The chances aren't really flowing like they were in October and November. It's taking us between 15-25 minutes to register a proper shot on goal in the last few games.

Personally I'm quite chuffed, it's not bad business at all as some would suggest, PSG still owed us money for him I've read, could be a cheeky FFP trick in there, he improves us and I've not read a credible argument that says different. All in all decent window and when you factor in Conte exciting new times. Last week we were seeing the same team that let themselves and us down last season in the same formation, and brick walls in teh window, now there are many options for don Conte to work with and I think it's exciting times ahead, there's a healthy dose of cheer the f up and some half glass full speeches needed. 

Have we finalised the Costa deal yet? If not, I reckon we should give that a rethink. From what I have seen, he isn't going to help us.
