Ahh the old Cock End pre 89 before they could afford a roof. At first i thought it was Wimbledon away 1989 when they only opened one turnstile for us, it was a roasting hot day and people were passing out. Alot of Chels climbed the corrigated fencing at the back to get in.

Playoff Final 1988
Was that Clive Allen for City in a midweek game? If it was i think we got destroyed by them 4 or 5 nil. I could be miles off track with this but the Lob from outside the area sparked one of my few remaining neurons to life.

West Brom seems a safer bet than Villa, its been so long since i went away with Chelsea and seeing that Villa look a bit warm this season id hate to have to travel all the way home with a bottom lip hanging. Moaning in Church, have you started talking in tongues again mate, remember what happened last time LoL.

Your only chance will be to try outside the ground but be warned my friend 4 x tickets will most probably cost you best part of 1000 Euros. Sad but true. If you dont get tickets then i suggest going over to Stamford Bridge and seeing if the game is being shown in one of the bars/pubs in the Stadium. You will still get a very good atmosphere and be surrounded by Chelsea Supporters. Good Luck.

I would love to mate but sadly i dont own any loyalty points. This season is about me and the boy gathering them so next season we will have a better choice of games to go watch. Front row seats online for me. Am still waiting for BT to show one of our games so i can get a decent picture, i could have sworn that the Utd game was meant to have been on there. Hopefully its the Spuds game though.

Are you going D?- Talking to the Opposition
1. Even though we've only had 3 Premier League games, how well do you think you have played this season? : I think that Jose's main focus was to get our wobbly defence from the past few season's back to peak performance again, and on a percentage id say we are 75% of the way there. So on that i would have to say that im quite happy with us so far and i know there will only be better to come. 2. Is absolutely everyone delighted with Mourinho making his return? Have you noticed any changes in his management? Prior to reading a few things here in the Forum last week i would have said for sure that EVERYONE and their dog " SPOT " was extremely delighted that Jose was back here, sadly that does not seem to be the case although im sure that come May there will only be the occasional few that still think that way. As for his management i dont think its possible for him to change the way he does it, purely because its his passion for the game that allows him to manage the way he does Eat-Sleep-Breath etc etc. 3. What are you expecting out of the season? A title challenge? A long champions league run? Both? A title challenge is something that each and every Chelsea supporter takes for granted these days, although with a few other teams upping their game i do think its going to be alot closer this year. As for a long Champions League run i dont think saying the Semi Finals would be being over confident, i dont think we will win it this year though. 4. Are we likely to see Mata or Eto'o in the game at Goodison? Eto'o YES as for Juan im not so sure as to what Jose's plans are for him regarding starting games for us. 5. Has there been a stand out performer in the 3 Premier League games so far? I wouldnt say so. In my opinion its far too early to start picking certain people out and saying they have been doing well. Lets not forget that up until a few years ago the League Table was not even wrote up until after all teams had played 3 games. 6. Where do you think you will finish this season? Top - Numero Uno. 7. Who will be the biggest threat to the Everton side on Saturday (apart from lampard)? Hazard its always got to be Hazard, i think the kid is amazing and his best is still to come. On to Everton... 8. Have you seen much of our season? How do you think we have done? Honestly i have not seen much of any other teams this season. So i cant answer the latter part of the question. 9. What do you make of our fairly new manager Roberto Martinez? Do you think he'll have success at Everton? Im not so sure about him as a manager, ok he Won the FA Cup which is always nice to win no matter what team you are, but to be relegated in the same season and then go to a new team and take 4 of the players there with you plus lose Fellani does not seem like good management skills to be honest. I dont think he will be the manager to bring success back to the Blue side of town so id have to answer No to him having success at Everton. I do wish him luck as i have no issues with Everton at all. 10. We've recently accuired Romelu Lukaku, so what can you tell us about his game (apart from the obvious 17 goals for West Brom and being a monster)?? You lot must be REALLY happy with that signing i think it was one of the biggest shocks of the transfer deadline day and if Ozil didnt go to Le Arse then i think it would have been THE BIGGEST News of the day. I think his form last season speaks for itself and we was silly to let him spend another season at another club. I think he will be a success where ever he goes though so good luck with him. 11. Who will be the biggest threat to your Chelsea side come next Saturday? Steven Pienaar ALWAYS does well against us and seems to be a constant danger everytime we play against him, if hes in the squad then id say him. I also really like the young kid Barclay " i think its spelt like that " And as we all know Everton have never been shy to throw a youngster in at the deep end and let him learn his trade by getting minutes on the pitch. One to watch for the future of England and Everton if they manage to hold onto him for too much longer. 11. Where do you think we'll finish this season? Mid table is the best you can hope for i think. 12. Finally, predictions? Chelsea 3 - Everton 1 Good luck on the season ahead.- The Davy Moysie Thread
Will he remain so at Arsenal though?- The Davy Moysie Thread
Nice Subject and one that without doubt will be discussed throughout the season " or until atleast xmas when they are sitting 7th or 8th ". Ok back on track. So he talks the talk but can he walk the walk? His track record says NO, the facts being that Mr Moyes's trophy cabinet remains empty " bar a charity shield, but thats a shield not a trophy right? ". When you look back over the last 10 seasons at some of the teams that have made it to Wembley and got their hands on the FA Cup " Pompey and Wigan off the top of my head " and then throw Stoke and Bolton into the Big Push for the top 6 in the premier league where was Moyes's Everton? Sure they was hanging out the front trying to get noticed but the trophy count still stood for 10 seasons played but não há pontos " Just like Jose would say it ". All Mr Moyes has proved so far is showing the credentials for the earliest Keeganesque break down in premier league history. In all seriousness he will most probably get by going one season without winning anything but if his own premier league record by the end of next season reads : Seasons 12 Trophys ZERO i think he will be collecting his P45 and heading back to Bill Kenwright with a verbal apology for trying to mug him off royally in public with cowardly first bids for their best players.- Random Rumours
