It's worth mentioning Pat Bamford as well... He was considerably more impressive than Lukaku in the ressies last season, plus he's with the 1st team in the USA. Hopefully he gets some playing time as a sub or something, then maybe a loan next season. Quality finisher.

Davilla rarely featured for Vitesse last season, played most of this matches in their reserves. Hopefully next season he can claim a 1st team place and prove he's got what it takes. Time will tell.

Yeah good point, although it's very hard to find a good goalie that's happy to sit on the bench week in week out Doubt there would be that kind of clause in Courtois' contract tbh as the club probably sees it that we have 2 capable backups in Turnbull and Hilario. Yeah, I suppose your right about Sturridge but whatever way you look at it, Robbie's got plenty of choice for the 2 & 3 in his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation now! Lampard, Mikel, Meireles, Mata, Marin, Hazard, Romeu and Ramires. Then, depending on if they are here next season he's still got Oscar, Essien, Malouda, McEachran, De Bruyne and Kakuta. Not bad. I've got no idea who, but I definitely think we need a new striker. Torres is.... well... ummm... unpredictable?

Oscar is an attacking mid that can play right wing, which is pretty much the only position Sturridge played all season... Sturridge would probably just see Oscar as yet another player that he is competing with to get into the team. Also, we need a new striker regardless of Sturridge staying or leaving. And yes, they may be talking out of their bumholes ( ) but it's definitely true that sturridge thinks he's much better than he actually is.

We've known for a few days now that this is basically a done deal that will be completed after the Olympics. I reckon this could mean the end of Sturridge, which is fine. RDM doesn't rate him any higher than I do.
