EPL realistically gone ?

With us now at wembley in May and in the CL semis against Barca, should we be stepping down our EPL campaign for this season and concentrating on the 2 cup campaigns ?

Lets look at the EPL fixtures remaining for Manure...

Man Utd vs Portsmouth

Man Utd vs Tottenham

Middlesbrough vs Man Utd

Man Utd vs Man City

Wigan vs Man Utd

Man Utd vs Arsenal

Hull vs Man Utd

For us to have ANY chance at all, Manure must drop 7 points from the above fixture list. Even if they do drop 7 points, we still have to win every game and hope our goal difference is better than Manures.

So for me the EPL is a big no no, well gone, should be forgotten.

What do you lot think ?

Cant see us with the EPL this season.

Worst case scenario would be if the scum get it and we dont win the CL, I can just about live with the Mankers getting it again but at least it wont be the treble - can anyone ever see that being done again?

Pretty sure you got that the wrong way around mate :o

But it's not mathamatically over is it?

The question was:

Have our chances of winning the EPL realistically gone ?

realistically - yes.

Mathmatically - no

As long as there is a chance, no matter how small, we must keep going until there are not enought points to play for.

theres no way this league is over just yet. all it takes is for liveprool and utd to lose a game the same time as we win one and suddenly the pressure changes.

Tottenham, Manchester City and Arsenal are the only games that United might slip up on, but I agree, they won't, so it's effectively over.

Might is the big word there, with Man City useless away from home and Tottenham totally unreliable. Arsenal should give them a few issues, as long as they have nearly 100% fit defence (without Gallas mind).
