Posted June 5, 200915 yr Lamps wants to follow in Frank Snr. and 'Arry's footsteps Good on him, and hope to see him in Chelsea's very, very, very long term future :P
June 5, 200915 yr Just think, in about 10 years from now we'll be choosing whether we want Lampard, Terry or Zola as our manager!!

June 6, 200915 yr great piece on him here...proves he's top man: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...nk-Lampard.html
June 6, 200915 yr great piece on him here...proves he's top man:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...nk-Lampard.html That was a great article.
June 7, 200915 yr It continues to amaze me that the general public view Gerrard as a better footballer than Frank Jr. More goals, more passes, more assistas, better box to box...it's criminal. I remember when england crashed out of the Euros after penalties. The press were all over Lampard for missing his attempt....but so did Gerrard, but we never heard about that at all. He's a great footballer and we are lucky to have him at our club. If he continues his level of play for a couple more seasons he will go down as one of Chelsea's greatest ever players, which I think he's fast approaching anyway Scott
June 7, 200915 yr Author great piece on him here...proves he's top man:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...nk-Lampard.html Jeff Powell - journalist legend.
June 8, 200915 yr I get the feeling Frank would make an excellent manager. It's hard to say, obviously. But I think he has an intriguing combination of on-field awareness and tactical understanding as well as grace and composure under pressure.
June 8, 200915 yr If he continues his level of play for a couple more seasons he will go down as one of Chelsea's greatest ever players, which I think he's fast approaching anywayScott He is already the greatest of the greats..... Premier League: 2004–05, 2005–06 FA Cup: 2007, 2009 Football League Cup: 2005 2007 FA Community Shield: 2005

June 8, 200915 yr After earning 120k per week for XXX amount of years, I'm not too sure Frank will be too bothered about going into management to be honest.
June 8, 200915 yr And Wayne Bridge (save the last FA Cup) Well if we want to go down that road: Cech, Ferrerira, Carvlaho, Joe Cole. Am I missing anyone?

Then again it is not always about money, it is more to do with being involve in football day to day, if it is in your blood what else can you do? take old red nose, with all his success and money and at his age, you would think he would take it easy, but no! guess he really has got football running through his veins.
June 9, 200915 yr anyone got a season finale of the usual Lampard v Gerrard stats for the season? I bring it up only because the journo did in his article, and to be honest I'm sure the scousers will say its false because it's a London loving newspaper, and Gerrard was injured for parts of the season
June 9, 200915 yr anyone got a season finale of the usual Lampard v Gerrard stats for the season? I bring it up only because the journo did in his article, and to be honest I'm sure the scousers will say its false because it's a London loving newspaper, and Gerrard was injured for parts of the season I don't think I've ever seen a single statistic that does anything other than reinforce the fact that Lampard is the better of the two. I've never heard a single good argument in Gerrard's favour... including all the "Lampard is rubbish for England" bollocks, because in his career he's been twice as good for England than Gerrard has...
June 9, 200915 yr As much as I love Frankie, I'd prefer Terry as a manager, he is a likeable man. You would play your heart out for him and would scared sh*tless to get on the wrong side of him. Plus he is a born leader.

Plus he is a born leader. To be fair I don't think he said he wanted to be a manager, but be involved afterwards. Maybe that's a coach, maybe that's assistant manager.
June 9, 200915 yr To be fair I don't think he said he wanted to be a manager, but be involved afterwards. Maybe that's a coach, maybe that's assistant manager. What about Terry - the Manager, Frank - the Assistant, Joey - the Masseur (taking over from Billy) and Ashley - the Accountant. I would sleep well, knowing the club was in safe hands.
