I hope he finds somewhere that gives him regular playing time..............

Barcelona are prepared to listen to offers for Icelandic striker Eidur Gudjohnsen.

The experienced frontman is under contract at Camp Nou until 2010 but has been informed that he does feature in Pep Guardiola's plans for the future.

Therefore, Barca have revealed that they are willing to part with the 30-year-old for the right price.

It is reported that an approach of around €5million would be enough to lure Gudjohnsen away from Catalunya.

That valuation has not been matched as yet, but interest in the former Chelsea ace is mounting.

A number of clubs in England are believed to be tracking the situation with interest, while Turkish outfit Beskitas are said to have made a tentative approach.

While Barca are hoping to generate a fee for Gudjohnsen, they are also alive to the possibility of using the striker as a make-weight in their efforts to bring in their own top targets this summer.

Never understood why he left for Barca in the first place. He could have had some of the best years of his career playing regularly in some second-tier club anywhere in Europe.

Will always have a soft spot for him - the days when he and JFH raided defenses are an unforgettable memory.

What a man, Eidur Gudjohnsen! I'd take him back any day...but I guess he'd be better off going to someone like Everton or back to Bolton.

was just thinking that Brixton....think he might go to play for Franco. but I see they've just signed a striker on loan, from South America, so may not be where they are looking to strengthen
