I'm trying to download a piece of free software to convert a Word document to PDF. I've tried a few sites but keep getting this message:

This download has been blocked by your Security Zone Policy.

I have free AVG anti-virus and also "Spyware Terminator". Could either of these be responsible?

I can't recall the last time I tried to download something, so not sure if this is a new problem.

If anyone can help I'd be most grateful!

Thanks in advance.

Kenwyn

im guessing your using firefox. found this for you

To change the setting, open Internet Options (via Control Panel or from Internet Explorer -> Tools) and click the Security tab. With the Internet zone icon highlighted, click the Custom level… button. A list of security settings for the Internet zone will appear. Find the “Launching applications and unsafe files†setting (under Miscellaneous) and select “Prompt (recommended)â€.

You're getting expensive. Normally a bounty bar suffices.

these are hard times, its now a couple of mars bars and a packet of midget gems...

If you can help me, dickywuh, I promise I'll never poke fun at your wee letters again.

A friend has sent me some photos in a zipped file. I click to download them and I am told that my trial version of Winrar has expired. Throwing caution to the wind, I remortgage my house and click BUY ONLINE. It then offers me a mindbogglingly confusing list of options to choose from. I give up.

I have Windows Vista. I use Mozilla Firefox to download things. What should I click on to buy this piece of software so that I can view these photos?

OOOH a double whammy! I don't have to spend any money and I still get to poke fun at dickywuh's wee letters! Thanks, Loz!
