Wow, that was painful to watch. But funny too. I wonder if they will get away with it. Some of the "defending" was blatant in its effort.

The president for the team who lost said something about his players just being crestfallen after letting in the third goal.

And the president for the other team said that (about the opponents players) it was all normal because the players knew they couldn't win.

If this isn't match fixing then I don't know what is.

P.S. If it's not then I really hope that all the players are sacked from the team because the way they behaved on the pitch was embarrasing.

That was cringeworthy. They could have at least tried to make it look real.

the keeper didnt even make an effort in saving them and the defenders were barely sticking out a leg to try stop the attackers. Its embarrassing for their league

Keeper unwillingly saved one in the end but the second effort ended up where he wanted, in the goal. That was unreal. Lets see what FIFA can do on this one.

Should he have abandoned the match, given what was happening? I think he was put in a tough situation, and assuming that he was not involved in the shenanigans, then I am not sure what would have been the right approach.

Kind of reminds me of what Peru did when they quit against the Argies in the 1978 World Cup Semifinal, thereby keeping Brazil out of the final.

Im not sure what the ref could do during the game. The decisions and punishments could only really be done retrospectively i think.

players can be be booked for unsporting behaviour, which this clearly is

more to the point, he is employed by FIFA if there is a fix and he's involved it opens a completely different can of worms.

apparently the team that would have been promoted won 5-1 in an earlier game. they scored 3 or 4 penalties (can't remember which) and missed another 1. who can out cheat who lol

I reckon the ref must have been in on it, surely he would have stopped the game otherwise
