Posted November 13, 200915 yr This probably deserves a own thread aswell but anyway. John Terry is the next one on the injury list after damaging his achilles during a England training session... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/...p.html?ITO=1490 Edited November 13, 200915 yr by Guest
November 13, 200915 yr Does anyone like England friendlies or believe the contribute in anyway to our chances of winning anything? All they do is interupt the best players in the best and most demanding league in the world constantly. I hope JT is okay, but I guess we won't know the extend of either Frank or JT's injury until they're back home and can assessed by the club. Until then I won't majorly panic, but with our 3 main Englishmen out and our Africans leaving soon it doesn't look good. Like it or not, you've got to understand why St. Stevens always pulls out of friendlies, even though it's bailing on your country.

Fabio Capello is confident John Terry will be fit to skipper England against Brazil on Saturday but Frank Lampard is set to miss up to three weeks with a thigh injury. Terry emerged as a doubt for the Doha friendly after sustaining a knock to his ankle in training and was not present at a scheduled media briefing at the Ritz Carlton Hotel this morning. England boss Capello said: "He was running on his own and twisted his ankle. I am confident he will be fit for tomorrow. "The doctors think so but I won't take a risk. If he is not fit, he will not play."

November 13, 200915 yr Don't you mean the other moderately good italian manager managing in England? whoops, got confused with my italian coaches, i obviously meant Vialli
November 13, 200915 yr I hope JT isn't badly injured. We need him. As for friendlies I would say that I both like them and hate them. I hate them in terms of injuries and such, but I like them because it's good for the players to practise and play together. You can't just put 11 players out onto the pitch when the World Cup starts and expect them to play like a team. So friendlies are both good and bad.

I hope it's one of those fake injuries, like the ones ManU's players always seem to get around internationals. They should rearrange the schedule so that you have a whole block of time after the season is over for internationals. I never understood having them in the middle of the club season, at random intervals. I think it would get more people behind their national team and be beneficial for team building if you could have a concentrated international month or something.
November 14, 200915 yr I thought Vialli was Welsh as in "down in the viallis" i got a football in the vialli`s once, bloody stung i`ll tell you....
November 14, 200915 yr i got a football in the vialli`s once, bloody stung i`ll tell you.... Are you sure it wasn't a football in the ballacks?
November 15, 200915 yr I thought Vialli was Welsh as in "down in the viallis" Moi has never gone down in the viallis!
November 15, 200915 yr So.......................... just to stop this going into the random thread.................JT is hurt. Can't see him missing the Wolves game somehow.

November 16, 200915 yr Wasn't he left out as a preventative measure? Therefore he shouldn't miss any of our games, should he? And I read somewhere earlier that Ballack will not face the Ivory Coast as a preventative measure, and Joachim Löw specifically stated Chelsea as part of his reasoning for leaving him out. November 18, 200915 yr just watched Chelsea TV news bulletin and JT was back in training today, running about with no problem, so should be fit for wolves
