Last Movie You Watched

Featured Replies

Yes seen it.

No, not scary unless you're the type that likes manicures, spray tans and pink fluffy stuff for the bedroom! So best be on your guard for any jumpy scenes Andrea!

In fact, I found the film quite cheap, not too sure where good reviews are coming from.

Worth a watch, but not much of a memorable one.

Hahah, evil.

I hardly ever get scared by movies but will give this one a shot at least.

I watched "The Darjeeling Limited" for the second time just to see what it was that I liked so much about it the first time I saw it. I'm still not sure why I like it, but I did like it the second time around as well. It's probably my favorite Wes Anderson movie.

I watched Black Swan again last night with my flatmates, it's still absolutely incredible. Definitely in my Top 5 of all time.

After that we watched Apollo 13 because we had either never seen it, or in my case not seen it in yonks. Thoroughly enjoyed that too!

It's been ages since I've seen it, but I think I liked the HBO mini series "From the Earth to the Moon" more. I don't know what it is with Tom Hanks, but I seem to like his projects when he's producing, but not when he's acting. I prefer Band of Brothers to Saving Private Ryan.

Although I must say that when it comes to movies about Apollo, I prefer documentaries. In the Shadow of the Moon is good:

Ha, I just realised that there's a connection to the Apollo 13 movie(Ron Howard) as well. :D

It might be my favorite Wes Anderson movie too! I love it, even more than Rushmore or Royal Tennenbaums, and I really enjoy both of those as well. Also, I have never been able to get into The Life Aquatic, which sucks because I love Bill Murray.

Life Aquatic has its moments, but it's definitely my least favorite Wes Anderson movie(I've yet to see Bottle Rocket, mind you). I like the Portuguese Bowie covers, though.

I love Royal Tennenbaums and some of his other movies. Was going to see "The Darjeeling Limited" but never did.

But hearing you say it's better than his other movies I really have to see it. I mean, if it's better than Royal Tennenbaums then it has to be absolutely amazing :)

I'm sure it's included on the DVD, but when you decide to watch The Darjeeling Limited, make sure you watch Hotel Chevalier(the companion piece to The Darjeeling Limited) before you watch it. It's not absolutely essential, but it's a sort of a prologue to the main movie.

As for his other movies, I really like Rushmore and Royal Tenenbaums, but due to the subject matter The Darjeeling Limited speaks to me the most. Fantastic Mr. Fox was great as well, although it's a much lighter movie.

Sexy Beast

What a cracking film, bit short though....

Have you seen 44 Inch Chest? It's written by the same writers as Sexy Beast and it has pretty much the same cast(or so I've heard) as well. I understand it's not a sequel, mind you, but every review of 44 Inch Chest that I've read mentioned Sexy Beast.

I saw the latest Pirates of the Caribbean last night and enjoyed it a lot. Good story line and not quite as over the top as the last one which I didn't enjoy too much.

Surely better than the last one but a lot of it could be down to the latin beauty !!

Snatch and Lock Stock are similar in that way.

i just watched the kite runner. The film is excellent in the way it highlights the political and social issues in afghanistan aswell as providing a really emotional storyline, i recommend it to anyone.

Law Abiding Citizen with Jamie Foxx.

Well worth the watch, some people said the ending was really bad but I liked it so if you are bored and havn't seen this one yet then do so!

Watched "Gnome and Juliet" a while back. It was an okay movie. Could have been better though.

Very impressive cast list though.

James McAvoy

Emily Blunt

Matt Lucas

Michael Caine

Jim Cummings

Maggie Smith

Julie Walters

Patrick Stewart

Jason Statham

Stephen Merchant

Ozzy Osbourne

Dolly Parton

So I probably enjoyed the voices more than I did the story :)

Hangover 2: basically the same movie as the first, but still enjoyable for me. Zach G wasn't quite as funny this time around IMO.

I thought hangover 2 overall though was funnier than the first. You?

I had it in my hands in Blockbuster the other day, but I didn't go for it in the end.

Gonna get it next time though, I notice Lovejoy is in it as well, just like sexy beast :laugh2:

I saw the animated movie "Rango" a few days ago. It was a very good one. The voice cast were excellent (Johnny Depp, Bill Nighy, Ray Winstone, Alfred Molina, Ned Beatty etc.) and the animation was brilliant.

And even though it's more or less aimed at kids it's still not Disney cute or anything. It's a bit scary at times and has some action in it.

Well worth seeing.
