Personally I would prefer Scott Dann/Garry Cahill and John Terry as the central defenders. Luiz doesn't command his area, his positioning is mediocre and reactions (Final Manchester United game of last season) are terrible. We need a powerful, confident and commanding defensive line-up for the 2011/12 season and I don't see Luiz as being the most powerful of defenders.

We seem to do well with past (successful) FC Porto managers, so my vote has to be with Villa Boas! But wouldn't mind Guus or Harry either. Zola first team coach please :)

Hmm yeah I can agree with that, but I feel with a bit of guidance he could be a class central defender. If you have a look at his time with Midtjylland he was much much better than he has been with West Ham, and in Denmark they played with four at the back. I feel that if he sticks with the hammers next season he will probably do quite well for himself. He will need to secure a starting role at a club, West Ham or not in order to progress his career. On the Phil Jones note, you're right, I think hes 19? Correct me if I'm mistaken anybody. He's a very solid player, somebody that would probably learn alot from somebody like JT.

Hernandez for United, although from the January signings I'd have to say Demba Ba is somebody that caught my eye, he has scored quite a few goals for West Ham, if he can do that for those mugs, imagine what he could do for a top side :D

We just need a couple of young players in, and a few oldies out. Anelka is a player I don't really like, hes arrogant and if things aren't going his way he walks - LET HIM GO. Bring in a couple of decent players in each area, a reserve goalkeeper, a young defender, winger/midfielder, and a forward (or two ) ------------ Neymar and Lukaku then you'll get a for once.

I see Rafa as being a decent manager, but no. I don't think that he would suit Chelsea, he's also very shaky in the transfer market..... Aquilani *cough*

Matt Jarvis, Demba Ba and Phil Jones for me. All three are quality and at an age where they can be molded into top footballers. Has anybody seen the New Zealander Winston Reid from West Ham? He's only 22 and very good. I've seen him play at international level, and anybody that saw New Zealand's FIFA World Cup campaign will know that he's a quality central defender, very good in the air on defence and attack. He'd be worth a look, would probably get him extremely cheap.

I'm new here, but have a mixed opinion on this. If we are going to keep him on, then we need to stick with him. I feel we need to stop chopping and changing managers, but I also think that if he is to stay he needs to re-build the team, let some of the older players go and bring in a few young talents, and a few others that can get the club moving in the right direction.
