Last Movie You Watched

Halloween is approaching so I decided to see "Interview with the vampire" again. I really like that movie.

Is that the one with Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt?

I saw a good Chinese film the other day called Wives and Concubines in French, but I think in English it was called Raise The Red Lantern.

Yes, and Antonio Banderas is in it as well. A very young Kirsten Dunst had a part also and was really good.

Anyone know a good movie to watch now during halloween? Is the new Freddy movie something to watch or is it utter bollocks?

I've heard it's kinda bad. Seems like an ordinary modern slasher movie.

Have you seen all the old classics, like Nightmare on Elm Street (the original), The Thing, Jaws, Halloween and Friday the 13th?

Those are always worth seeing more than once.

There's not many great modern horror movies unfortunately. Mostly you have to look at movies outside America to find the good ones. Movies like:

Rec

The Devils Backbone

Martyrs

À l'intérieur

Of course, if you haven't seen "Paranormal Activity" then you might want to do that. It's not great, but it's different. Apparently the sequel is a bit better.

I've seen all of em except the weird french one at the bottom you mentioned :P

I might have to look into watching Inception or Paranormal Acticity 2!

I just saw "Inception". It's really worth seeing.

Have been putting off seeing "Scott Pilgrim vs The World" but finally did it last night. Must say I was pleasantly surprised. A very original and different movie that was highly entertaining.

I mentioned it a couple pages ago but I think "Descent" is a worthwhile horror film, most of the horror movies I watch are just awful.

Just watched "Winter's Bone". I thought it would move a little faster, but it was still a very impressive movie. Already swept up a bunch of awards at festivals, sounds like it's going to get a lot of Oscar buzz too.

Saw a nice movie a week ago called "Bright Star". It's made by Jane Campion who also made the wonderful movie "The Piano".

Bright star is about the poet John Keats and his romance with Fanny Brawne.

It's a very beautiful movie. A bit slow perhaps, but nothing that ruins the movie.

Want to get a good laugh tonight, anyone know a good comedy that is rather new? :P

Watched The Other Guys last night and was pretty good but not as good as I thought it would be!

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen a music film as good as Anvil! It would have been easy to make a "let's all laugh at them" type of movie, but it slowly won me over and even though I thought their music was bad, I really hoped that they would get even just a little bit of success. It's not just about the band or their music and that's why it's well worth watching even if you've never heard of the band or don't like heavy metal. I'd never heard of them until I first read about this movie a few years ago and I wouldn't have been able to name even one of their songs, but I thoroughly enjoyed the movie.

I watched That Dammened United last night . Very good film and worth a watch . All about Brian Clough and his hatred of Don Revive

Yes, I really enjoyed that film and I thought that Michael Sheen did a great job of portraying Cloughie warts and all.

I watched Book of Eli earlier on. Was a good watch certainly. I enjoyed it and it kept me interested the whole way through, but I doubt I'd watch it again... or at least not for a good while, because the fact that it takes over an hour to reveal the plot is one of it's most interesting features.... Tried to watch Zombieland afterwards, and couldn't make it past 20 minutes.
