December 6, 201015 yr Watched Kill Bill vol. 1 and 2 last night. The first one is really good, the second not so much as it's just ridiculous from the first 20 minutes onwards. I'll happily watch Kill Bill 1 again though, very well made film.
December 8, 201015 yr Saw "Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole" tonight. It's absolutely stunning. Never seen animation quite like it. The story was okay, nothing more. Might be a bit too scary for kids.

Might be a bit too scary for kids. Now you've lost me. If the story is just OK, how can the film be stunning? It doesn't matter how good the animation is, without a good story it's still a very ordinary film. isn't it?
December 8, 201015 yr Now you've lost me. If the story is just OK, how can the film be stunning? It doesn't matter how good the animation is, without a good story it's still a very ordinary film. isn't it? I was refering to the animation. It's extremely beautiful to look at. So it looks stunning, but the story is just okay. So overall the movie would be good, but not great. It's a bit like Avatar. Beautiful, but not much more. Still worth to see :)
December 10, 201015 yr I finally lost my Pulp Fiction virginity. It was absolutely incredible. Genuinely. Probably the single best film I've ever seen!
December 10, 201015 yr I finally lost my Pulp Fiction virginity. It was absolutely incredible. Genuinely. Probably the single best film I've ever seen! I'm happy that you finally decided to "give away your flower" ;) Pulp Fiction is great. Perhaps not my favourite movie of all time, but certainly in my top-10.
December 14, 201015 yr Seen two movies in two days. First off was "13" which I saw because Alexander Skarsgard was in it. It's about a guy who finds himself in the middle of a kind of russian roulette tournament (though they point the guns on someone else, not on themselves). The cast has some interesting names: Skarsgard, Mickey Rourke, Michael Shannon, Jason Statham, Sam Riley and Ray Winstone. Unfortunately it was a bit of a disappointment. The cast wasn't that good at all. Some overacting and some not acting at all. And it was very predictable as well. Only really good thing was the "russian roulette"-scenes which was for the most part quite intense. Then I saw "The Hole" by Joe Dante. It turned out to be sort of a horror movie for kids. The acting wasn't good (had expected much better) and it was quite average. Still, must admit that even though this was a very "mild" horror movie it was quite suspenseful at times. Two films I probably wont see again.
December 14, 201015 yr Devil (2010) - Waste of time, dont bother wasting your money. P.S. Watching 'Bonded by Blood' tonight. Edited December 14, 201015 yr by coco
December 14, 201015 yr Inception and Iron Man 2. Inception - Brilliant movie, probably the best I've seen in years and it left you thinking through out the whole movie, especially the ending. A must watch if you have not seen this amazing movie. 10/10 from me. Iron Man 2 - Didn't expect anything watching this movie but it was a decent watch with a lot of action scenes, Scarlett Johansson was a major bonus :D Anyway if you seen Iron Man one and liked it you should pretty much watch this one, basically the same kind of movie and you will enjoy it.

A must watch if you have not seen this amazing movie. 10/10 from me. No, Andy, it didn't leave you thinking, it left you NOT KNOWING, which is not at all the same thing, really... If that's the best you've seen in years, you've not being going to the right cinemas!
December 15, 201015 yr It's a great movie moi, did you not like it? Not knowing sounds gay in that sentence doesnt it? because it had me thinking about what was going on while I was watching it, not knowing - I was actually trying to figure out what was going on because its a very confusing movie at times!
December 15, 201015 yr The Town. A decent bunch of actors, solid start, but faded very quickly at the end.
December 15, 201015 yr No, Andy, it didn't leave you thinking, it left you NOT KNOWING, which is not at all the same thing, really... If that's the best you've seen in years, you've not being going to the right cinemas! Good girl Moi,you let him know.Utter tosh from start to finish.I think we are in a minority of 2 on here but I dont care.
December 16, 201015 yr Devil (2010) - Waste of time, dont bother wasting your money. Isn't M Night Shyamalan linked to that? Surely that was a HUGE red flag even before it started. Inception - Brilliant movie, probably the best I've seen in years and it left you thinking through out the whole movie, especially the ending. A must watch if you have not seen this amazing movie. 10/10 from me. No, Andy, it didn't leave you thinking, it left you NOT KNOWING, which is not at all the same thing, really... If that's the best you've seen in years, you've not being going to the right cinemas! I'm going with Andreas on this one, it really is exceptional. Moi, I don't think it left you "not knowing", that was just the impact Nolan wanted to have. Leaving it open like that makes sure it's going to be talked about, and it certainly has - people are STILL on about it and I saw it way back at the beginning of August! Surely you can appreciate the magnitude gone into the project, the attention to detail I'm not sure if this bit is a spoiler, but I'll do so anyway, in case it is! For example, one theory has that Cobb is wearing his wedding ring in the dream, and isn't in the real world, but there are numerous stills that show that Nolan has done a lot to make this a very, very hard to spot moment, clearly done on purpose, I thought it was unbelievbley well made. Nolan is a genius writer I think, Inception is the best thing he's ever done I think. What didn't you like about it, moi? Edited December 16, 201015 yr by Ruh Buh Juh

December 16, 201015 yr The Children. I'd seen it a few times when out buying dvd's, it was on Sky last night and thought it would be a good laugh if I'm honest because it's about four children going on a murderous rampage at a christmas family party. As it turns out, I was completely wrong, there was something horribly creepy about the whole film and sometimes I was genuinely scared watching it, something a current horror film hasn't done since 30 Days of Night, and that was way back in 2007! Quality horror film.
December 16, 201015 yr Love and Other Drugs, bit of a chick flick, not bad not great The Next 3 Days with Liam Neelson, not bad.
December 17, 201015 yr I hated Inception to be honest. I think it was the wrong movie for someone like Nolan to do. He is too literal-minded to do a movie on dreams. The best review I read on the movie was that Nolan's dreams are directed by Michael Bay. Could not agree more.
December 19, 201015 yr Inception was good but not great, i think when i watched it i had really high expectations but it was a bit of a let down for me. It's a good film but certaintly not one of the best i've seen in my opinion.

December 20, 201015 yr Shutter Island Bit slow at times but good twist and maybe twist on the twist! Worth a look
December 20, 201015 yr Knocked Up last night, absolutely hilarious. Some hate Seth Rogen, but I think he's brilliant myself.
December 20, 201015 yr Just coming to the end of The Magnificent Seven, and Film Four are going straight into The Return Of the Seven - Fine Christmas fare! Dum, Dum-da-dum, da-da-da-dum-da-dum! Edited December 20, 201015 yr by yorkleyblue
