August 22, 20214 yr Marc Cohn with ‘Walking In Memphis’. I fully accept I have posted this song before, I just like it!
August 22, 20214 yr In memory of Don Everly who has passed away. I had the privilege of seeing the Everly Brothers at their reunion concert at the Royal Albert Hall in 1983. A great concert.

In the absence of Spotify etc. I didn't get to listen to it till 1980. I was pissed off that the British music press wrote him off on '75 as just an overhyped Yank and more or condemned him to getting zero airplay over here. That changed when The River came out in 1980, when the press suddenly decided he was cool (even though BtR is a far better album).

Backbiter, The River was the first Bruce Springsteen album I heard in 1981. One of my mates had bought it and liked it. It took a while to grow on me. However once I liked it, I’ve been a Springsteen fan ever since
August 27, 20214 yr For me, Big Mama Thornton's version of Hound Dog is far superior to that by Elvis. Buddy Guy on guitar and then some fine harmonica players.
August 28, 20214 yr Superb performance. Grace Slick and Janis Joplin can be seen to the side of the stage.
