Drogba and Kalou on their way back I hope ASAP. Bit of a shock with

Algeria beating them 3-2. Kalou scored the opener. Hope they are in good shape

but may need a bit of rest ot start on the bench before getting right back into it.

Bit of good news for us but shame about the Ivory Coast I would of like to see them win

the ANC.

To be fair to Kalouless he only missed about three other chances against Algeria which is lower than his usual average. Looked a bit sooky when he was subbed though.

Who knows? Maybe now Kalou will come back as a world-class striker. Or, then again, maybe not.

he was better in ghana 2008 when he score a wonder goal agains nigeria :D but when back he was the same

Right in time for the crucial run of games which will make or break our season.

Someone should dupe Kalou into believing that his ACN is not yet over for him!

Great news.

Lets now all put our backing into Nigeria staying there as long as possible.

I think bench on Wednesday and starting Saturday.

Birmingham is going to be a tough game, they aare reallly playing tight right now. Not winning much but not giving away much either.

COME ON CHELS !!!!!!!!!!!!

what frame of mind will he be in? he sulks at the best of times and going out as they did having the game won in the 90th minute is sure to affect him, I would have rather he came back as a cup winner, I know it would have meant him being away a little longer but it would have meant he came back ready for anything.

as glad as i am to have him coming back, it's a shame sturridge couldn't get a longer run, he's been starting to look quite good. also i was sort of hoping Borini might get a run out or two, but with kalou back now it doesn't look likely. If Drog's available for brum i'd like to see him on the bench and let sturridge start.

Its could work both ways. One argument could be that he'd be more fired up than ever to win something this season after missing out on ACN. Really depends on him how he takes the defeat. Hope he's back to banging them in in a game or three.

I believe Drogba faces a 1 match ban when he returns, due to getting booked in the last game he played before he departed.

Was that not served during the first ACON game he missed? If not that's bollocks ¬____¬

I know where you're coming from, but to be fair we need him right now with our lack of options to play as the defensive midfielder

Looks like you are right and sky were wrong as I remembered they were saying that the ban would be served on his return. Looks like he/they (chelsea) may have realised this. Quote from cfc website below

87 Yellow card Drogba brings down Konchesky and is booked. He is now suspended for Watford next weekend, when he will be away with his national side.

even if he's fully fit , there is no way drogba should start tomorrow night. remember what avram grant said after the last african nations?

the problem wasn't when they were away, the problem was when they got back. this was because they had problems re-acclimatising to the weather in england. i think he was quite right about this because just like last time, our results have been ok... and didn't we have a dip in form as soon as they got back? let's hope history doesn't repeat itself.
