England vs Egypt

England 1-0 down. Goal was poor defending by Matthew 'John Terry' Upson

Clearly John Terry's fault. He needs to be dropped immediately :D. I'm sure Capello is petrified looking at the options beyond JT.

I can't be bothered watching now that JT's not captain, but I'm listening on 5Live while playing FM.

Alan Green is trying to blame everything on Frank Lampard at the moment, he really is a c*nt (Green, that is) :D

How Wes Brown, Matthew Upson & Theo Walcott got selected is beyond me, they're all crap.

Say it quietly but Frank has now missed two very good chances. JT can take the blame for them as well.

The Rooney commentators lovefest continues. He lost the ball due to a very heavy touch and then conceded a foul through a frustrated attempt to get it back. He then throws his arms in the air and yells at his team mates and the commentators say 'WOW! He my not wear the captain's armband but he does his bit to get them going' (or words to that affect). No mention of the fact his first touch was a pass and he was having a go at his teammates when he just cocked up.

No mention of Gerrard then who has been just as invisible as Frank.

Just heard the same on the radio, I'm sure these commentators & pundits are all in love with Rooney :laugh2:

This was pretty funny from Guardian commentary:

In a show of unity England play badly enough to get booed as a team as they leave the pitch, cleverly taking the pressure off Terry.

Lampard off Carrick on, i suppose taking Gerrard off would be not such a good thing since he's you know "Captain Fantastic" :laugh2: Gerrard has been terrible.

You know what, JT should talk to Capello after the game and tell he is staying at home this summer with the wife and kids! Disgusting behaviour from our fans who make me embarrassed to be English!

The way JT was taunted when he f**ked it up at the start of the game was like listening to opposing fans.

It goes to show how many so called England fans can't leave their club support at home when the go to Wembley.

f**king shocking!

Yes good timing there Loz. I know what you mean though. I'd say the Ivory Coast under Guus are looking a better bet at the moment.

On a separate note whatever you think of him Crouch has a great scoring record for England. I think of Defoe as a better player but Crouch always seems to do better for England.

I disagree. Better to tough it out and come through the other side (like Lampard and Ashley did) then stick your head in the sand and going under (like Paul Scholes did). Give in to the idiots and they go home smug.

oddly enough, BBC commented on that and claimed he needed to be careful because he threw "quite a paddy". I had to look this up becuase I was only familiar with the derrogatory term.

Caroline Cheese has been commenting that there have been a smattering of boos at best. Any confirmation of that?

3-1

Have to say we have looked better without frank

Agreed. The second half with Carrick on instead of Frank saw England far more in control of the centre of the park and looking far more dangerous. Capello will clearly note that and if Lampard's club form continues to disappoint and Carrick stays injury free then don't be surprised to see Frank on the bench in the summer.
