lets be honest our midfield aint that creative, we need to off load alot of players, jose did'nt have us playing that well but we won trophys thats the main thing. under claudio i thought we played some great stuff but won notting,i know which id prefer. TITTLES. as for drogba hes top class the whole world knows this not just chelsea fans.

In truth we have punched above our weight for a number of years, kept there at various times by good performances from a hardcore of players; Cech, JT, Frank, Essien , Ashley Cole and Ricardo.

Each one of these players being a pretty strong contender for 'best player in their position in the world' during most of that period.

After the Drogba rant, I'm not sure that blog isn't a pisstake. Calling Drogba "rubbish"? Come on...

In fairness it's only a more extreme take on what many here have said over the last few days. It's the Drogba bit that grates, he isn't rubbish, well most of the time he's not. Most of the time he's one of the most damaging strikers of the past 20 years. But it's the fact that when he has a bad one it is generally catastrophically bad, and all of the critics who hate him in general for his various theatrics hit out hard at him.

Myself I do agree with one part of the equation, that he does limit our play to some degree. He's a magnificent player and certainly hits the back of the net with regularity but my problem is when he doesn't seem up for it, particularly in big games we don't seem to be in it either. He's such a strong focal point that we don't seem to have another route to goal that doesn't involve him in some way, and we don't try that's the thing. When we are under the pump it tends to be let's automatically go to the Drog long and see what he can do. If he's well shackled or having a bit of a teary about the world, then we're hard pressed to score without him.

That is my only issue with the guy and I'd much sooner have him with us than against us, but sorting out how we can move to a less Drogba centric system is going to one of Carlo's big challenges over the next few seasons. I thought he was on to something with the diamond, but Malouda has just been so bloody good that it's hard to go back to that now.

If he's having a bit of a teary about the world, then we're hard pressed to score without him.

It's not his fault his country [allegedly] offered him the Presidency of the Ivory Coast. ;)

"kept there at various times by good performances from a hardcore of players; Cech, JT, Frank, Essien , Ashley Cole and Ricardo."

What so half of the team is worldclass and you think we have been punching above our weight....huh ??????????????????????? doesn't make sense.

"I know he scores goals (but not against strong defenders, who have no problem with his hustle and bustle!) but that masks the fact that he is a useless footballer (little skill, control, ability to create for others) and his goals are at a cost to Chelsea in the style of football we play; route one."

Utter sh*te.

"Time to say goodbye…"

Yes f**k off back to the emirates or wherever you were glory hunting before you plastic twat.

URHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH BACK2BACK CHAMPIONS when we were just about to do a Leeds. JOG THE f**k ON.

Excuse my french everyone.

You are right, total Guff !

I love how he calls Malouda dirt then says we should keep him.

Also well played on giving him more views.

i'd like to add that i've heard numerous fans wanting rid of drogba, especially if you go back a couple of years when many fans stated themselves to be embarrassed by his antics. also, as i've noted elsewhere, i reckon avram grant was quite right when he said of the previous african nations cup that the problems didn't start when the players were away but when they came back. while drogba was away we played some of the best football all season, since he returned, the team have had to re-adjust to accommodate him, results have dipped and performances have deteriorated. coincidence? maybe not.

Has Drogba done anything this season which is unprofessional or that lives up to all the negative hype about him?

I noticed how well he took that ridiculous red card against Inter. He took his marching orders like a champ without making a fuss or wasting time. He'd never have done that in previous seasons.

How can all this come so fast upon the threads where so many were insisting that Drogba was a legend?

It smacks a bit of funeral meats being eaten at the wedding, only the other way round.

Time to get a sense of proportion.

Yeah, Drogba is rubbish isn't he?

I mean 22 goals this season - only 4 behind Rooney (who is having an amazing season to be fair) - and he was on Ivory Coast duty for 3 weeks.

What else does he want of him?? The world knows he is one of the best strikers in the world!

What a pr*ck.

That's shocking. What an embarrassment.

Regardless if we did somehow win major trophies, we would still be doing a clear out.

So sick of these blogs everywhere, spouting utter sh*te.
