Better than 2005 ?

Featured Replies

Not as unbeatable as that year and that will always be special because it was first for 50 years, but have you ever seen attacking performances like this season ? 103 goals is sensational. Has anyone ever seen a better 45 minutes than second half v Wigan ?

There all great mate,

Winning the first title since 55 was brilliant not least because I and a lot of fans never really thought we'd get to see one in our lifetimes, the next was great too but expectancy crept in and now after 3 seasons without it it seems to me every bit as good.

Personally I've liked the football we've played on a lot of occasions and do prefer the more attacking style but that is just personal taste, what I do know is we've now won three Premiership titles in 6 years and they are all superb achievements.

I look forward to seeing what changes are made for next season and being entertained all over again, I really do think we have played some great attacking football this season and if we get the balance right in the next couple of seasons with a Manager here for a decent term we will go up another level.

The 2005 one was more special for me simply because it was the first for so long. But hopefully we can now stick with a manager for a decent period of time and add to this success.

Not better or worse, both very special. Evety title race is different due to the different calibre of opposition (both the title chasers and the other teams). For this reason I don't think they are comparable. For example this season none of the top flight teams have been as 'unbeatable' as they were in prior seasons however there has been more competion from the likes of City, Villa, Spurs and Everton.

For me this title is more special in that we had to deal with a lot of problems both on and off the pitch throughout the season. Also to deny Manchester United their fourth title in a row is just special. It half makes up for the heartache of Moscow.

Good question in a lot of ways the answer is yes and to win it at home was a massive plus

A ) No One can throw the "we brought the league "claim at us as we spent jack really

B ) 103 goals ..................... Nuff said

C ) The BIG wins away at Man Utd , and Liverpool at crucial times of the season

D ) Home grown and young players getting a look in ..

E ) The injuries we had to cope with would have crippled another team Eissien , both Coles , Bosingawa etc

That said I celebrated beating Liverscum to clinch 4th spot just as much as yesterday as it saved us doing a Dirty Leeds for so many reasons ………………………………………

For me this is much better than 2005.

Ghost of Jose gone, and a doube awaits.

Better football, better goals, better spirit.

We will be better next year, especially now that Carlo has a full year behind him.

This is certainly my favourite...because it's the first time I've had pay tv for a season where Chelsea became champions.

I've wridden the highs and lows, all the while, staying up till 4am, or waking at 5am to watch every game possible.

It all seems worth it of course.

All of em are great, but this one a little bit better! We broke Utd's record, we beat the top four and it was a tight race and at the end of it we came out as champions, without the special one aswell!
