Guys , of all the matches chelsea lost or did not score , either of the 3 was the most culpable one .

We either lose possession in midfield - mispass the ball , Defender- GK fiasco -- back pass , unable to score - move the ball slowly and this is slow passing . This is not a critical statement but just in a lighter vein , if we look back at our losses or boring draws , this would have been the reason . This could be with any team for that matter , but with a brilliant defence at chelsea , we should not allow it to happen

We must device a strategy where we don't lose possession , attack with pace and more importantly we must not pass the ball to a player at the last moment . We should never slow down our play . This could irritate some , but Manures always move the ball quickly .

We should make minimal mistakes in this regard and if the opposition is able to win over us through brilliant play , everyone will be able to understand it . But a loss due to any of the discussed 3 is undigestable !

I noticed a lot of times when we lose the other team puts the ball in our net more than we put it in theirs, this was true even in Saturdays game with City...I checked and thats exactly the same thing that happened in our last two meetings with them, Using the game against WBA earlier in the season as an example the opposite occurred, I think I'm onto something here, I wonder if Carlo has spotted it :D

You could be on to something here, Chippy! You could try approaching Roman to ask how much he'd be prepared to pay for your insightful advice!

There definitely seems to be a pattern there, but are you sure you've interpreted the data correctly?

Hey, Chippy and his Missus run the bets. If anyone can interpret data, they can!

Yeah, we'd definitely eliminate those losses if we played football better. We must eliminate all losses. Let's be better at football. Good strategy.

Sorry, that was a bit harsh, I'll be serious now..

Do you mean we suffer when our players take too long on the ball before passing? Or do you mean they don't put enough pace on their passes? In either case I'd say you're barking up the wrong tree.

Passing the ball quickly at all times (as in as soon as possible after receiving the ball) as a rigid philosophy would make us far more prone to errors. Quick passing can often be very effective, and attractive. But decision making can suffer if the players are forced to play the ball quickly at all times.

And if you mean they don't put enough pace on the ball when they pass it, that's individual error not a tactical flaw, one that you can't really remedy unless you get better players. And even the best players make mistakes. As the best team in the prem so far by a country mile, in terms of team performances AND individual talent, I think we should be a bit more understanding.

lol .. I don't want to sound either serious or funny ... I don't know what other guys make of it :)

Sounds like the half time Wenger team talk against the Baggies last weekend

lol again .. My comment was not to be critical of the team .. but just that I was looking to find why we lose . I understand we cannot be winning all the time but the manner in which the goals were conceded was a bit worrying ..

thats my point but probably I was over obsessed with chelsea .. Apologise if i sounded naive .
