Jose Mourinho

Featured Replies

Heard a rumour few months ago that abramovich told one of his advisors to get mourinho back next season and thought nothing of it, but i might be dilluded but things seem to be happening e.g mourinho has said he wants to come back to england to man city man u or chelsea. Frank arnsen the one he didn't get on with the most is resigning and mourinho was at the game tonight

some people say he was scouting but why? his not even got us in the champions league yet at least for a month so why go to the game?

Hope this rumour concludes.

Love Carlo but just don't feel theres ever a plan b with him and don't think he motivates the players

Ethical, don't be so quick to not believe in fairy tales. It was once a fairy tale that we'd win the league

The reason I believe this is plausible is joses ego. He wants to be the saviour, the headlines would be perfect for him.

Believe

Yes Ethical, why don't you believe every f**king bullsh*t rumour someone posts on here?

I hear Aguero signed for us in 2007, 2008, 2009, and twice last year. We have also signed Pato, Lukaku, Neymar, Sneijder, Sanchez, Van Der Vaart, Rooney, Glen Johnson, Maicon, Ramos, Cahill etc...

I'm pretty sure we signed one of those, once. Not telling you who though!

eggy shut up im just passing on what i heard no need to say its bullsh*t at least say that end of season you f**king c**t

Oooooh touchy are we?

It's bad enough that we have the press making sh*t up as they go, no need for you to join in.

We've got a Manager as far as I can recall, hes having a bit of a hard time getting the best out of a squad he inherited and has had a few additions of late that he needs to get playing together, once he does he might get them playing something like he did in our best ever season (only last year) breaking club records in the process.

selec tive memory is a strange thing, Jose struggled in his third season and by the fourth and final one was saying the eggs were not good enough for the omelette, ok we've had a couple of new signings but if he did come here Im sure hed want guarantees of more money to spend so he could make the team his own.

Carlo will get it spot on in the Summer and we'll come out raring to go again.

Here some other over the top things that would never happen.

1) We'd sign Torres

2)A Double winning Manager will lose his assistant the next season and by himself only manage to garner 44% of available points

3) Andy Carrol would become one of the 10 most expensive signings in Football history

Oh wait, those all happened!

I guess you can just never truely know the future, especially in sports where the only thing "odds" mean is how much you can collect on a gamble.

No offence, but if Roman is planning a huge splurge in the summer who not Jose over Carlo? Jose is far more reliable to translate a splurge into titles.

Jose might only of been good for 2 seasons...... but so far thats 1 season longer than Carlo has been good for.

Not saying that Jose is coming back, but right now if he was asking and I was Roman.....well arm snapped off and all that.....Whats personal feelings when a billion worth of investments is possible on the line?

Heres some more overthetop things that might happen...

The team hits a run of dodgy form and injuries that threaten its CL qualification next season, fans stick by the Manager

Club signs 71 million of talent fans give the Manager time to get them gelled into the team and find a way to get the best out of them

Amazing stuff

to answer your above question

because Jose failed in his third and went in his fourth season with us which makes a 50% success rate the same as Carlo should we not do something unexpected in the rest of the season and because the stability of having a Manager in place for the long term will in time prove the most productive.

Personally Ive never gone on a 4 month run.......more like a marathon, or uhhhhh better part of half a season.

I know Carlo likes to say "we are in a bad moment", but when those bad moments heavily outnumber the good moments you cant say that anymore. That moment has become a "season".

Ive stuck by Carlo for four months, and 2 games since we signed 71 in talent.... yet nothing he has done with that talent suggests positives. He runs out a 50million striker against his old club who are hurling vile at him, despite having no time to train with the team and ignoring he is massively out of form and lacking confidence. He then applies the same pattern next match. Run him out, let him do nothing, sub him off.... and for what? So Anelka and Malouda, who have both been way worse, can continue to do nothing positive? The fact that Torres cant play again until the CL tie, so has no reason to pull him off unless he is the worst forward...... the fact that stiker was starting to look better and coming close to that first goal that would of set the confidence back and surging as it would likely of been a game winner had it came. Then Carlo could really boost it by saying "The bad moment is over, Torres has arrived".

If this manager cant make turn around a single match half way through, what makes you think he can do that with a whole freaking season?

First of all, if we are considering the month Jose managed in the 07-08 season, as a full season, then you are really grasping at straws sir.

Secondly, lets compare....both Carlo and Jose have league titles in their "50% good seasons". When Jose failed to win the league, he did take us to the CL semis while winning both domestic cups and finishing us 2nd in the league...........not bad for his poorest season managing us....... lets hope Carlo does so poorly this season, huh?

Had he left him on the Bench, I suspect you and many other kings of hindsight would be saying how stupid he was to spend £50 mill on a player and not play him, missing the trick of letting him prove himself against his old team and thus starting his confident run of form.

He then applies the same pattern next match. Run him out, let him do nothing, sub him off.... and for what? So Anelka and Malouda, who have both been way worse, can continue to do nothing positive?

Because he tried a different approach and bowed to the trend that is saying Drogba has had his day, He has stuck by Drogba (rightly imo) and after trying to shoe horn the pair of them in he tried to do what most in the media and on this site wanted...he tried Torres with two players capable of feeding him, it never worked and Drogba although out of form looked what he is, a better player and one that still (although the doubters on here would say otherwise) looked motivated and gave the defenders problems. Anelka has played well of late and was MOM by a mile a couple of games ago.

The fact that Torres cant play again until the CL tie, so has no reason to pull him off unless he is the worst forward...... the fact that stiker was starting to look better and coming close to that first goal that would of set the confidence back and surging as it would likely of been a game winner had it came. He pulled him off because he thought Drogba with the same players around him might get us the points,,,a resonable assumption and one that almost paid off, Drogba will be playing in the next games and as you said Torres wont, getting him playing well as I've said for three months is the key and thats likely another reason he subbed Torres for Drogba, Torres will now get his act together in training.

If this manager cant make turn around a single match half way through, what makes you think he can do that with a whole freaking season?

Because he turned last freaking season around and turning a match around with a team defending like Fulham/ most others do when we play them takes something that we are clearly still trying to fiind and that is either getting these players gelled so they pass more instinctively and take chances more readily or that one magical player with a bit of something special we are missing.

I hope Carlo gets the chance to find him in the summer and build this team into what he wants it to be.

Why was Jose Mourinho at Craven Cottage?

Because he's already been lined up as the next Fulham manager.

You heard it here first.

And last

People should remember Luiz was NOT having his best year in Portugal this season.....I think, with that in consideration, it would be a mistake to throw him in the middle of what now is likely to be the, or one of, most combustible matches of the season. I would much rather him start vs Fulham, get in a good few session in training and not force him into what will definately be a "derby-esque" fixture that could well set the momentum for the rest of the season. Lets get him familiar with his teammates and build up his confidence before we put him in a position where it can be shattered.

Lets keep the Sunderland line up with Ramirez brought in. Torres can substitute in the 2nd half, if anyone should be dropped for Torres its Drogba, Kalou and Anelka have both merrited this start......and we're not goinna do that to Drogba quite yet are we? Of course not!

King of hind sight? Guess thats right up there with Jose managing 4 season with us. Guess you can see yourself this is something I alluded to pregame, and was pretty much a common sense notion. I detailed in another thread, which I wont waste time looking for, why I wouldnt start Torres.

I dont blame for things you only see with hindsight. I blame for things I can spot in advance...as a fan....thousands and thousands of miles away. Meaning if I can spot it, the guy getting paid millions, is an experienced manager, and over see's training everyday should of seen it sooner.

He pulled him off because he thought Drogba with the same players around him might get us the points,,,a resonable assumption

A reasonable assumption based on what? The fantastic results they have been pulling down the past 4 months? Sadly it was all to easy to predict the lack of width.....yet again

As youve quoted yourself you must be able to see that you (as I did) mentioned playing the team that beat Sunderland but you failed to note how you sarcastically pointed to the fact it might be worth Dropping Drogba for Torres but that Carlo wouldn't do that. you said "if anyone should be dropped for Torres its Drogba, Kalou and Anelka have both merrited this start......and we're not goinna do that to Drogba quite yet are we?"

That to me suggests you would have indeed played the same system had you kept the same team from the Sunderland game and if you changed anything it would ghave been Drogba missing out for Torres.

Well the set up never worked so your first idea was hardly anything to bother quoting and the fact you mention dropping Drogba for Torres shows you would have happily done that which would have resulted in the same cauldron fro Torres to play in.

Didn't really prove much then.

Based on Drogba gradually getting some form back and being a top player that has so often come up trumps for us you just have to show faith in him.

rumor |ˈruËmÉ™| ( Brit. rumour)

noun

a currently circulating story or report of uncertain or doubtful truth : they were investigating rumors of a massacre | rumor has it that he will take a year off.

verb ( be rumored)

be circulated as an unverified account : [with clause ] it's rumored that he lives on a houseboat | [with infinitive ] she is rumored to have gone into hiding.

ORIGIN late Middle English : from Old French rumur, from Latin rumor ‘noise.’

Mod,

Notice you banned the thread orriginator for loosing his temper. Fair enough, his language was pretty harsh.

But in all fariness there are people on this forum that are scared to post what they think from fear of the oppinion police comeing on and telling them there not chelsea fans or they are spoilt or just being plain pattronising when the whole point of the forum is to have an oppinion and debate as such. Not all personel attacks need to have the word c*nt in them. I dont really care because Iand will continue to take the flack.

Any way Just saying understand why he was banned but understand his fustration as well

I agree with Barak. Not every insult has to have swear words in it. Dismissing someone's opinion and laughing it off without debating is as much an insult as calling them c**ts.

People on here seriously think that a new poster coming on here and calling someone that has made hundreds of decent posts a f**king C**t in his second post shouldn't be banned?

Its hard enough on here to put a reasoned view backing up the Manager of our team after a draw let alone letting people join and start slagging people off on the day they joined.

I doubt very much he was a Chelsea fan and he obviously joined to have a laugh at the reactions on here after a draw away that has us sitting outside the top four, it must always guarantee a laugh for fans of other clubs.

Edited by Chippy

the point isnt really about him Chippy, it seemed an apt thread to point out that some posters who dont want carlo in charge feel like if they come out and post it the will be hunted in there homes, draged out of there beds and tied to cross in shed end central for all to see.

Kind of an issue when people are saying they dont feel they can post there views becaue they will be attacked for them.

One particular thread was called stupid and shouldnt have been started in the first place or words to that effect... who the hell is any one to say that a thread that comply's with forum rules should not be started... I see mod's and web in peoples titles on here but i have never seen opinion gestapo.
