Just wondered what people think of the new legends format of the game. I've enjoyed the 6 a side tournaments over the years and it'll be interesting to see how this pans out.

Unfortunately I can't go, anybody thinking of giving it a look?

A bit more info from the official site

LEGENDS LISTED FOR SUNDAY CUP

Posted on: Wed 25 May 2011

A squad of 16 former Chelsea players has been assembled for the London Legends Cup at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Gianfranco Zola is to captain the side of former stars in a tournament that will see a new Football 40 format unveiled.

Star strikers of the past Kerry Dixon, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Tore Andre Flo will be among those attempting to knock in the goals. ChelseaFC.com columnist Pat Nevin will also play.

The Blues side takes on Fulham in an 11-a-side game lasting 40 minutes, with the winners of that game facing the victors from Arsenal Legends v Spurs Legends.

The Chelsea squad is:

Dave Beasant, Frank Sinclair, Gareth Hall, Andy Myers, Bernard Lambourde, Danny Granville, Ken Monkou, Michael Duberry, Clive Wilson, Jody Morris, Pat Nevin, Clive Walker, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Kerry Dixon, Tore Andre Flo, Gianfranco Zola.

Chelsea manager from the 1960s Tommy Docherty will be back in the job on Sunday with his assistant, Capital FM's Johnny Vaughan. This event is supporting Chelsea's national charity partner Help A Capital Child.

The tournament begins at 3pm.

Tickets are now available from www.football40.com or by calling 0843 208 1234

They are priced at £10 for adults and £5 for children.

Not so sure whether the word 'Legend' is used loosely here.

They have Franc Sinclair, Jody Morris and Lambourde. They had their moments, of course.

Just discovered the tournament is being shown on ITV4 :)

Yeah, Ive just seen that and set it to record as I will be out for a few hours. Should be a decent watch.

I enjoyed that mini tournament a lot more than I thought I would - the 20 minutes each way rule helped a lot, as did the rolling substitutions. Great to see Dixon, Monkou, Walker, Flo and company again, and as for Gianfranco, sign him up, he looks like he could still do a decent job!!! ::HeAdS:::

Really enjoyed that, franco looks like he would be the perfect partner for torres. And Pat Nevin is still the best left winger on the game.

Well that was great fun, we absolutely dominated both games.

A good crowd as well, just below 10,000 I think I heard them say.

Be interesting where they go with it long term, Hoddle was talking about setting up a league. If it's televised regularly it could be a way of seeing out the summers where there aren't any international tournaments to keep us amused.

Has not really worked in golf, with the so-called Champion's Tour. Started off well for a few years, with Nicklaus and Palmer and Trevino keeping people interested, but now I think it draws less than the women's professional golf tour, which is really bad.

If they keep it to just a few events, during the summer, then hopefully it can work.

i hope it goes further than just becoming and outdoor version of masters football. Today was brilliant, doc was loving it and the chelsea boys dominated.

Gutted I missed this :( didn't know it was on ITV :( any highlight clips?
