Posted July 7, 201113 yr Anyone got/seen/used one? I am quite interested and seen for net use, they blow the ipad out the water!
July 7, 201113 yr Looks a lovely bit of kit, my mates getting one next week. I got a samsung galaxy tab a few months ago and its excellent for net use.
July 7, 201113 yr Have heard bad things about it. Had a little play with one at the airport the other day. No email client unless you use a blackberry phone. All depends how much you want/need flash. My experience with flash on tablets like the Tab or the HTC flyer is mixed. Streaming video works pretty well but most other stuff isn't designed for tables and is not very useable without a mouse. Can't speak for games as that's not my thing. Choices for tablets are 1. Size. 7 inches or 10. 2. iOS or Android. Overall, I keep coming back to my iPad, but android honeycomb is getting better quickly. I hear the new Galaxy Tab's are very good.

Net is really fast apparentely on it?
July 8, 201113 yr Theres so many tablets out there now, had a play with a few not so long ago. Great that its not just a few companies bringing them out. This time next year they'll be half the price.
July 11, 201113 yr Feedback I've got from some clients that have tried them out: Fast, simultaneous apps are easy to switch between. Poor size, and don't like that you have to tether it for browsing. They've also talked about it's VPN connectivity being an issue, but I don't think that's relevant in the consumer space
July 11, 201113 yr The Playbook is probably the best non ipad tablet around technically but it doesn't have many apps yet, the existing Blackberry apps don't work because the Playbook uses a different operating system to the phones. Blackberry are introducing a software bridge on the Playbook so that some Honeycomb apps will work but it's only some. It's a great device, you just can't do much with it at the moment, Playbook version 2 is coming out at the end of the year, it'll be better but in the meantime the new Galaxy Tabs are probably the ones to go for.
