Hello, Im from the website http://www.toffeetalk.com, i was hoping you guys here could help me with a series of questions ahead of the match.

I have been round here for a few days now, and would like to say thanks, as i have been made to feel very welcome, so feel free to visit us at tt, as we also welcome other fans, even Liverpool fans!!!

1.Andre Villas-Boas, second spell at the club, although this time as a manager, he's very young but has a good pedigree, Mourinho, Robson, he has had massive success in a short space of time in Portugal, what was the initial reaction to his appointment?

2.Roman, has a slight obsession with winning the Champions League, yet its important for Chelsea to get a foothold over their northern counterparts who seem to be taking control at the moment, what do you think AVB brief was when he signed up, CL or make Chelsea strong domestically and build and replace the slightly aging team?

3.How do Chelsea line up now under AVB? is it much different to the way Ancelotti played? and do you like/prefer it?

4.What have you made of your new signings, Mata is an excellent player, what about the rest?

5.Was Torres worth the hassle? i read a post on here the other day, a few of you seemed to think that maybe tactics were being setup to be all about putting the ball through for him, whats the verdict? lets be honest, do you really want cast-offs from "the sh*te"

6.Originally i was going to ask if you thought Lampard had seen better days, but then he went and scored 3 at the weekend, so clearly he still has some life in him, but for how long, he has been such a key figure, and would be difficult to replace

7.Are there any Everton players you would like to see in the Chelsea line up, i know Chelsea have been linked with our latest talent Ross Barkley, possible replacement for Lampard?

8.Who is the most important player in the Chelsea Team? and why so?

9.Can you offer a genuine threat to the 2 Manc clubs?(personally i hope so)

10.And talk of a new ground must boost everyone at the moment, you are the last big team to move?

11.All Clubs must eventually become self sufficient soon with the new rules, do you think the Roman will stop bankrolling the club at some point, it can't go on forever.

12.What do you think about Everton as a club and their manager David Moyes?

13.How do you see the relationship between the 2 sets of fans?

14.Do you feel sorry for Everton in their current situation, struggling financially to compete with the others?

15.The game against Everton coming up, last time Beckford scored a cracker, and pretty much nailed Carlo's coffin shut, how do you see it going this time round?

16.What will be your strengths and weaknesses that Everton should watch out for?

17.What do you think the final score will be when the teams play?

18.Where do you think both teams will finish this season?

Thats enough to go on with now i think, i will use a variety of answers so the more varied the better, i would once again like to thank everybody for making me welcome, and too those who take the time to answer my questions, its greatly appreciated. i will certainly be staying a member round here, and please come and say hello over on http://www.toffeetalk.com(i am over there as "The Prisoner") we even have a games arcade

thankyou

Hello mate, welcome to the site.

1. I think many of us were happy to see a younger manager being given a pop at the job, and hoping for a bit of stability in the manager department.

Definitely feel that his brief was to build a new team and I think that's shown by his signings. My guess is that he's been given 2-3 years, with top 4 as the only must, to give Uncy Roman the sexy football he craves. I'll take a scrappy 1-0 win over anyone, anytime myself but there you go.

3.How do Chelsea line up now under AVB? is it much different to the way Ancelotti played? and do you like/prefer it?

3. Early days still but the signs are good, I don't think I've ever been as positive after a defeat as I was after the game at Old Trafford the other week, if it comes off we're in for an entertaining few seasons.

4.What have you made of your new signings, Mata is an excellent player, what about the rest?

4. Not seen much of 'em yet, with the new keeper staying where he was for a season, Lukaku looks to be a beast of a player and once he picks up the pace of the game looks like he's got goals in him, mind you I once said the same about Carlton Cole, Moreiles you probably know as much about as I do, Does Sturridge count? If so a big thumbs up so far.

5.Was Torres worth the hassle? i read a post on here the other day, a few of you seemed to think that maybe tactics were being setup to be all about putting the ball through for him, whats the verdict? lets be honest, do you really want cast-offs from "the sh*te"

5. I think Torres has suffered by being put into a system that's been finely honed for 7 years or so now to accomodate Drogba. Took a while to convince me that he had any future at the Bridge but his performances so far this season have been a vast improvement on last years. Jury out but quitely optimistic.

6.Originally i was going to ask if you thought Lampard had seen better days, but then he went and scored 3 at the weekend, so clearly he still has some life in him, but for how long, he has been such a key figure, and would be difficult to replace

6. He's fat, he's finished, he's overrated and he only scores flukes and deflections, dunno how we've put up with him for as long as we have.

7.Are there any Everton players you would like to see in the Chelsea line up, i know Chelsea have been linked with our latest talent Ross Barkley, possible replacement for Lampard?

7. Cahill, admired him at Millwall, like an exotic David Speedie.

8.Who is the most important player in the Chelsea Team? and why so?

8. Given the sea change at the Bridge it's pretty hard to tell at the moment, John Terry would be the obvious candidate, but my choice would be Drogba. I know he's not the most popular player among other supporters but I don't think I've seen many better team men down the years, hope the club find a role for him when he stops playing.

9.Can you offer a genuine threat to the 2 Manc clubs?(personally i hope so)

9. Happy to be in the background, let them slug it out all season and we'll take 'em on the blindside

10.And talk of a new ground must boost everyone at the moment, you are the last big team to move?

10. If it's inevitable and the club retain a SW postcode I'll live with it, but would never leave the Bridge by choice.

11.All Clubs must eventually become self sufficient soon with the new rules, do you think the Roman will stop bankrolling the club at some point, it can't go on forever.

11. Check the blogs mate, this one has been repeated over and over again for the last 8 years, as sinister oligarch chairmen go I think we got lucky.

12.What do you think about Everton as a club and their manager David Moyes?

12. Always liked Everton, your neighbours probably have something to do with that. I was always impressed by Everton's white collar but not cuffs kit in the 60s and 70s, the big semi circles behind the goals and arguably the best ever ground advertising, do you remember the huge Fred Perry ad on one side of the ground, that was superb.

13.How do you see the relationship between the 2 sets of fans?

13. Got a bit tense after the semi 2nd leg at yours a couple of seasons back, but before the game we'd been in the Royal Oak and had a great time with the Evertonians, Stanley Park Arms always used to be good for a beer and banter too. Not a club anywhere near the top of my hate list, Goons, spuds, 'ammers, MK Dons and Sutton Utd are the ones that leave me frothing at the mouth.

14.Do you feel sorry for Everton in their current situation, struggling financially to compete with the others?

14. Sorry if this sounds harsh but no, swings and roundabouts, and I don't imagine any of the big 5 from the 80s were sending love to Chelsea when we were battling to stay afloat and hold on to the Bridge, and I had probably my best time ever supporting Chelsea during what were the worst years in the club's history, success is overrated it's your team that counts.

15.The game against Everton coming up, last time Beckford scored a cracker, and pretty much nailed Carlo's coffin shut, how do you see it going this time round?

15. Dunno, but hope your luck from the derby holds out against us.

16.What will be your strengths and weaknesses that Everton should watch out for?

16. Another dunno, but Ramires can run forever, Fatty has still got a mean eye for the ricochet and Drogba is still a monster of a number 9.

Kalou.

17.What do you think the final score will be when the teams play?

17. A diplomatic 2-2 thriller.

18.Where do you think both teams will finish this season?

18. Really like Moyes so I'm plumping for 6th

Too superstitious to make a Chelsea prediction, but after seeing 3 of them avoiding relegation still gives me a thrill.

Thats enough to go on with now i think, i will use a variety of answers so the more varied the better, i would once again like to thank everybody for making me welcome, and too those who take the time to answer my questions, its greatly appreciated. i will certainly be staying a member round here, and please come and say hello over on http://www.toffeetalk.com(i am over there as "The Prisoner") we even have a games arcade

thankyou

1.Andre Villas-Boas, second spell at the club, although this time as a manager, he's very young but has a good pedigree, Mourinho, Robson, he has had massive success in a short space of time in Portugal, what was the initial reaction to his appointment?

I was pleasantly surprised. The majority of people (including me) though Guus Hiddink was a definite so to go for someone so young and as yet untested at the very top is a very bold move by the club

"Win as much as you can by playingthe very best football possible"

3.How do Chelsea line up now under AVB? is it much different to the way Ancelotti played? and do you like/prefer it?

It's very different to the way Carlo used to set the team up. AVB will change things frequently and adapt the team style accordingly - and yes I very much prefer it this way.

4.What have you made of your new signings, Mata is an excellent player, what about the rest?

Oriel Romeu looks an outstanding prospect. Lukaku is a giant but still very naive at this level. I am confident he will come good as he adapts to the pace of the English game though.

5.Was Torres worth the hassle? i read a post on here the other day, a few of you seemed to think that maybe tactics were being setup to be all about putting the ball through for him, whats the verdict? lets be honest, do you really want cast-offs from "the sh*te"

As you would have seen there has been much debate on this site about Nando. I'm in the for camp especially now that we have a manager who knows how to get the best out of him

6.Originally i was going to ask if you thought Lampard had seen better days, but then he went and scored 3 at the weekend, so clearly he still has some life in him, but for how long, he has been such a key figure, and would be difficult to replace

Lamps still has much to offer - how long for? How long is a piece of string. He is extremely fit and looks after himself so he will play in the majority of games this season as long as he does what is required of him.

7.Are there any Everton players you would like to see in the Chelsea line up, i know Chelsea have been linked with our latest talent Ross Barkley, possible replacement for Lampard?

I have always admired Tim Cahill. Jack Rodwell seems to get rave reviews but I haven't seen enough of Barkley to form an opinion of him as yet

8.Who is the most important player in the Chelsea Team? and why so?

I think that now, unlike previous seasons no one player is now the most important. As AVB frequently says to the dimwitted media (who just don't get what he's trying to say) it is about the team. The team need to perform in the same way no matter who plays. His philosophy is beginning to take shape and the club will become even stronger as the season goes on and the players become familiar with AVB's philosophy

9.Can you offer a genuine threat to the 2 Manc clubs?(personally i hope so)

Yes we can

10.And talk of a new ground must boost everyone at the moment, you are the last big team to move?

Mixed reaction on the site again as you would have seen. Clearly the club need to do something to move with the times

11.All Clubs must eventually become self sufficient soon with the new rules, do you think the Roman will stop bankrolling the club at some point, it can't go on forever.

A new stadium may have some part to play in this

12.What do you think about Everton as a club and their manager David Moyes?

I have nothing but admiration for the job Moyes has done under extremely difficult and demanding circumstances. Plus any yeam who play in blue can't be all bad :-)

13.How do you see the relationship between the 2 sets of fans?

All of my experiences with Everton fans have been good. The recent cup final proved this where I saw fans happily mingling in pubs and on transport - no way would this have been possible with the red side of your city

14.Do you feel sorry for Everton in their current situation, struggling financially to compete with the others?

Yes - if any club deserves a wealthy donor it is Everton

15.The game against Everton coming up, last time Beckford scored a cracker, and pretty much nailed Carlo's coffin shut, how do you see it going this time round?

Difficult to tell. You have always been a hard nut for us to crack. It will be interesting to see how AVB adapts the team to play because if your game against Citeh is anything to go by you will be superbly set up defensively

16.What will be your strengths and weaknesses that Everton should watch out for?

Strengths are playing between the lines which the team are getting better at as each game passes. We are still prone to the long ball over the top though because we seem to be playing a much higher line than in recent times. We are also very weak at the back post on corners and free kicks

17.What do you think the final score will be when the teams play?

I never make public predictions on scores but I do know this will be a very tough game for us to win

18.Where do you think both teams will finish this season?

As long as we finish above both sets of mancs and you finish above the red side of your city I think we'll all be happy

1. I thought a young, ambitious talented manager was just what we needed, so I was quietly pleased about it.

2. I think his #1 brief is to rebuild the team with younger players. A lot of our signings have been made with one eye on the future. I get the feeling he won't be sacked if we don't win the PL or the CL this year, provided the other signs are good.

3. I'm confident with what I've seen so far. Unlike Carlo AVB is willing to bench big players who aren't performing and make changes when the team isn't playing well. After our performance at OT I was pretty upbeat even though we lost.

4. Mata is a gem, Lukaku is talented but raw, haven't seen enough of Romeu. Sturridge is like a new signing and has also been promising.

5. Chelsea never learn when it comes to expensive centre forwards...Fleck, Sutton, Sheva etc. Torres' last few performances have given me hope. I'll only give up on him if he's still misfiring by May.

6. I think Lamps has a lot to offer us still. We may have to use him more sparingly now though. How do you replace a midfielder who gets 20+ goals and as many assists season in, season out?

7. Don't know much about Barkley but Rodwell looks a fine player.

8. In past seasons, Lampard, DD, Cech and Terry. So far this season there hasn't been a standout.

9. Yes we can, although unfortunately I think we'll fall just short this season.

10. Feelings are mixed. I'd only support a move if there was absolutely no way of expanding Stamford Bridge and if such a move was to a sensible location and in the club's best interests.

11. I think FFP is unworkable, but that's for another day. Obviously we can't rely on a billionaire forever, which is probably what this stadium move is about.

12. Moyes has done an excellent job, considering the circumstances he's in at Everton.

13. The Everton fans were classy at the 09 cup final. The mutual dislike of Liverpool probably helps a bit too!

14. I wouldn't say I feel sorry for them, but I do find Everton's current problems strange. They get good crowds, they don't spend much and they sell a player for £20m+ every other year. Where is it all going?

15. Everton have been a bogey side for us lately. I expect another tight, scrappy game.

16. Strengths: Mata and Sturridge have added an extra dimension to our attack. Weaknesses: we've looked shaky in defence all season, especially set pieces.

17. I have to say Chelsea win but a 0-0 or 1-1 wouldn't be a shock.

18. Chelsea 2nd or 3rd, Everton 6th or 7th.

Firstly just want to say listen to nothing that that MKBLUE individual said regarding lampard, absolutely awful poster on this site.

1.Andre Villas-Boas, second spell at the club, although this time as a manager, he's very young but has a good pedigree, Mourinho, Robson, he has had massive success in a short space of time in Portugal, what was the initial reaction to his appointment?

I was a huge fan of Carlo, absolutely loved him to bits, however I was hearing a lot last season about AVB's work at Porto and all the striking similarities to jose. The thing that intrigued me the most was how he had no ability whatsoever at playing the sport so just became a student of the game. He is a very astute individual, with previous ties to the club and i believe we are very lucky to have him.

Regaining domestic supremacy has to be the main target. Will not be easy to win the league this year obviously but if we finished trophyless and really stared building a team for the future I believe we can call this season a success. Week in week out we are starting to see AVB make his mark on the team and long may it continue.

3.How do Chelsea line up now under AVB? is it much different to the way Ancelotti played? and do you like/prefer it?

AVB is a big fan of the 433, much like Jose is so i guess formation wise we are quite similar to how we were under Carlo, however the style of play certainly does seem to be changing, didnt watch much of Porto last year so cant comment on whether AVB is bringing that in here or whether he is sculpting a style of play to get our number 9 firing on all cylinders.

4.What have you made of your new signings, Mata is an excellent player, what about the rest?

Mata looks like he has been playing in the premier league all his life, slotted in seamlessly and is just a fantastic player. Meiriles was obviously not our first choice signing, and is not in the same class as luka but he has also fitted in very well. He is coming of the back of a fantastic season in a very average team so now he has class players around him I believe he can take that to another level.

As for the youngsters, Courtious who is the young keeper we signed from Genk has been sent on loan to Athletico and been looking alright there from what i hear (besides an unfortunate 5-0 drubbing by barca), Romeu has only played one game in the carling cup but did look very good and is a hugely exciting prospect and Lukaku is an absolute beast of a player who has all the potential to be a huge player for us (in every sense of the word) in the next few years.

5.Was Torres worth the hassle? i read a post on here the other day, a few of you seemed to think that maybe tactics were being setup to be all about putting the ball through for him, whats the verdict? lets be honest, do you really want cast-offs from "the sh*te"

Everyone knows what Torres is capable of, on his day absolutely unplayable. He isnt a liverpool cast off by any means, he was there creme de la creme but he saw pastures greener and wisely came. Last season it kind of was like sticking a circle into a square hole, Our setup blatantly did not suit him at all. However we have seen glimpses of the fernando of old and by the end of the season people will hopefully have forgotten that he was once feared to be a flop.

6.Originally i was going to ask if you thought Lampard had seen better days, but then he went and scored 3 at the weekend, so clearly he still has some life in him, but for how long, he has been such a key figure, and would be difficult to replace

Lamps is a Chelsea legend, an absolutely amazing player who was not born with the god given ability that some have blessed upon them but has worked tirelessly to reach the world class level that he has. It seems that AVB will not have him playing week in week out which will hopefully ease us into a world without lamps, because if you just took him straight out of the squad then it would be a gigantic hole to try fill. 20 goals from midfield a season is just such a boost for the team and he offers so much more than just goals as well.

7.Are there any Everton players you would like to see in the Chelsea line up, i know Chelsea have been linked with our latest talent Ross Barkley, possible replacement for Lampard?

Ross Barkley looks hugely talented, although for 30mil im not quite so sure about that. We do have ashley running our flanks from left back but leighton baines is a huge talent and if Ashley was to leave us it would be great to pick him up. Must say i am impressed with the everton team as Moyes works with a ludicrously low budget and has such a highly competitve outfit.

8.Who is the most important player in the Chelsea Team? and why so?

JT, the heart and soul of our team.

9.Can you offer a genuine threat to the 2 Manc clubs?(personally i hope so)

Absolutely we can, we finished second in the league last year and have improved our team. We may have finished quite a few points off united in the end but that was just after the united defeat we let our heads drop. With three rounds to play last year we were 3 points off united and heading to old trafford so we were not far off them at all. They have started at a blistering pace but so did we last year. Its a long long season

10.And talk of a new ground must boost everyone at the moment, you are the last big team to move?

Would be an interesting one, leaving the bridge would be awful but as far as looking at the long term future of the club may be a necessary move at some stage.

11.All Clubs must eventually become self sufficient soon with the new rules, do you think the Roman will stop bankrolling the club at some point, it can't go on forever.

Really hard to say, eventually i guess it could happen but dont see it doing so any time soon.

12.What do you think about Everton as a club and their manager David Moyes?

Touched upon the briefly earlier, never had anything against everton and in fact may have a bit of a soft spot for them (despite you guys continually taking points off us season in, season out). I have a lot of respect for Moyes, think he is a great tactician and would not be surprised to see him take the reigns of a big club at some stage. You have a highly competitve squad that has been built on peanuts and i must say i had a lot of sympathy for you on deadline day when it seemed you were losing players left right and centre.

13.How do you see the relationship between the 2 sets of fans?

We dont have a intense rivalry with everton, I havent lived in london for ten years now so cant comment too much on how things stand but I would imagine it would be fairly good.

14.Do you feel sorry for Everton in their current situation, struggling financially to compete with the others?

Yes must be extremely tough, espicially when you were such a superior team to the likes of city a few years ago to see them come and spend millions with such ease cant be much fun

15.The game against Everton coming up, last time Beckford scored a cracker, and pretty much nailed Carlo's coffin shut, how do you see it going this time round?

The last game against everton wasnt the final nail in carlos coffin, that had come two weeks earlier at old trafford, it was a dead rubber of a match and unfortunately that showed in the way we played.

16.What will be your strengths and weaknesses that Everton should watch out for?

Sturridge is in electric form at the moment and will be looking to keep that up. As for weaknesses i guess the fact we cant keep a clean sheet at present is a bit of a concern

17.What do you think the final score will be when the teams play?

2-1 chelsea. Sturridge brace!!

18.Where do you think both teams will finish this season?

The top 6 seems pretty cemented at the moment so i think 6th place would be a good result of everton. As for Chelsea, the top 3 is going to comprise of the two manc teams and chelsea and its too early to say at this stage. We certainly have the ability to win it!!!

KTBFFH!!!

Just watching your last couple games (on dodgy streams mind), when did Distin become the good defender and Jagielka the crap one? Is it just the last 2 games, me seeing things, or Jagielka being affected by the non-move to Arsenal?

1.Andre Villas-Boas, second spell at the club, although this time as a manager, he's very young but has a good pedigree, Mourinho, Robson, he has had massive success in a short space of time in Portugal, what was the initial reaction to his appointment?

I was one of the fans sitting around hanging out for Hiddink to be announced as Chelsea manager and i was all for it.

I believe i was sitting in the Departures lounge at Phuket Airport when i saw that Villas Boas had been confirmed as the new manager.

I read up on his history and was impressed, and with our style of play and his signings and effect on Torres, Im happy with the appointment.

He does have a obsession, But i believe its for success, In the Champions League and all competitions.

The fire obviously burns under him ever since the Moscow Event, I think AVB is being given time to do things which is good, I feel we can win the league this year.

3.How do Chelsea line up now under AVB? is it much different to the way Ancelotti played? and do you like/prefer it?

Much better lineup, More entertaining football.

4.What have you made of your new signings, Mata is an excellent player, what about the rest?

Mata is brilliant, Young and talented and is also bringing out the "old el nino" which is good for everyone.

Lukaku is a massive unit with some serious footballing skill, Just needs to get the stamina for the English Game

Romeu is the rock we have been looking for he can get possesion and hold it, But he also is brilliant at spraying the ball into the attacking side of midfield.

Meireles is bred for the english game, So he has slotted in well and is increasing our danger in attack, I still believe he is a stop gap till we get Modric.

5.Was Torres worth the hassle? i read a post on here the other day, a few of you seemed to think that maybe tactics were being setup to be all about putting the ball through for him, whats the verdict? lets be honest, do you really want cast-offs from "the sh*te"

I believe Torres was worth the trouble, I feel bad for the kid and all the pressure that he is under, But when El Nino comes to play, He is pure class and fits into our system well.

6.Originally i was going to ask if you thought Lampard had seen better days, but then he went and scored 3 at the weekend, so clearly he still has some life in him, but for how long, he has been such a key figure, and would be difficult to replace

Frank is one of a kind, But there is many players you could replace him with, 4-6 years ago, With the way we played, You could never have replaced Frank, But now with the times changing, I believe Modric could fill the boots, or even Josh McEachran

7.Are there any Everton players you would like to see in the Chelsea line up, i know Chelsea have been linked with our latest talent Ross Barkley, possible replacement for Lampard?

Coming from Australia im a massive Timmy Cahill fan, If you had asked me last year id have said Arteta was class, But he has disappointed since he moved from Everton to a bottom of the table club.

8.Who is the most important player in the Chelsea Team? and why so?

John Terry, He is the leader and majority of the time he plays fantastically, Although i do believe when he is on form, Ramires can be a powerful man to have in midfield

9.Can you offer a genuine threat to the 2 Manc clubs?(personally i hope so)

Yes, Quite easily, We dominated United earlier this year and got caught out by some bad decisions and some terrible finishing. We will beat both of them this year.

10.And talk of a new ground must boost everyone at the moment, you are the last big team to move?

Mixed feelings all over the place, Its a good idea on paper.

11.All Clubs must eventually become self sufficient soon with the new rules, do you think the Roman will stop bankrolling the club at some point, it can't go on forever.

I think Roman will find a way to do it while meeting the rules, Maybe some Anonymous Donations, Who knows.

12.What do you think about Everton as a club and their manager David Moyes?

Everton are a solid club, They always put up a fight and are the better of the Merseyside clubs.

13.How do you see the relationship between the 2 sets of fans?

Fine.

14.Do you feel sorry for Everton in their current situation, struggling financially to compete with the others?

Yes, I wish someone would buy Everton and give them a boost, As long as the boost lifts them above Liverpool.

15.The game against Everton coming up, last time Beckford scored a cracker, and pretty much nailed Carlo's coffin shut, how do you see it going this time round?

As much as id like to say that it would be close, I really think your boys couldnt have got us at a worse time, I think im going to go with 4-0 Chelsea.

16.What will be your strengths and weaknesses that Everton should watch out for?

Strike force wont be amazingly strong, as i dont think Fernando is back for this game, As im 100% sure the game he returns he will go on a goal spree.

I think the majority of goals will come from the midfield which will leave this area open also, This is simply the strength and weakness point for this tie.

17.What do you think the final score will be when the teams play?

As above, 4-0 Chelsea.

18.Where do you think both teams will finish this season?

Chelsea 1st-2nd, Everton 5-6th.

1 Excitement and optimism.

2 Build, replace, and win. CL and League do not have to be mutually exclusive. Yet even if both elude us I think most fans will be happy if the team looks to be progressing with a younger core playing attacking football, and probably well pleased with if it comes with a domestic cup! He doesn't have to win a big one this season I think, just show that he is on the right track and very capable of delivery soon.

3 I think we played some good footy under Ancelotti but I feel the team is more confident under AVB as he seems to always have ideas on how to take control of the situation(something Carlo didn't always portray). They seem to have a bit more impetus which is very good as they looked complacent at times last season.

4 Really haven't gotten much of a look. I'd of loved to see Lukaku on loan with a BOL club considering the strikers ahead of him and I think we'll see more of Romue later in the season but wouldn't expect him to figure in a big way for a while. Ironically enough, if he looks a real talent, would AVB be hesitant to become reliant on him(aka showcase his talents) just for Barca to re-buy him within the next 3/4 windows at a relatively low cost?

5 Was? No. Will? Starting to look promising, but to be completely honest, he really hasn't bothered me much at all. I think some poor decisions were made when he was first purchased - for example, starting a low confidence striker against his old club spewing vile at him whilst the whole team is struggling and Torres hadn't been with the club for even a week yet - and I think now we are seeing the effect of him under a manager who seems able to motivate him effectively. PS. If you have 50mil castaways, let me know when you put your bin out and I'll be happy to be an LFC fan for the day,

6 Depends on who comes in and how they do. To be honest, I think season after this might be his last at Chelsea though I have no idea if he will hang up the boots or continue his playing career. I suspect getting his badges and what not while likely having some sort of official role with the club.

7 Not in the starting line up (sorry) but would love a couple as squad players such as Howard/Rodwell. Barkley looks a real talent but I don't think Everton would let him go now for too much cheaper than he would go in a few years after(if) he is proven for it to make the gamble worthwhile. Though I'd be more inclined slap 35mil down on Barkley before Carroll.

8 Terry. Really doesn't need explaining, he can do everything you could ask a CB/Captain to do except run faster than Walcott.... but he does the other stuff so well he is rarely found lacking in a situation.

9 Of course. People forget that last season Chelsea won their first five games combined 21-1 and that up to November we had only dropped 5 points. I don't think they will keep this pace and I know we haven't seen Chelsea hit top gear yet under AVB. The team that won the double and stormed the beginning of last season has gotten star players little older but the team overall much improved. Some people may be shocked come end of the season, I will be if Chelsea isn't in with at least half a shout.

10 Hopefully the next (sorry certain folks, look where history has gotten LFC) but certainly not the last as even Arsenal and Man U may even find new homes within the life times of certain fans here.

11 a)Take a look at the clubs Financial Fair Play would deny entry, then answer this question. Would EUFA really risk their cash cow by eliminating the cream of the crop of CL football to try and ineffectively prove some point established on some tragically flawed logic? No, because once the rules of FFP start to hurt EUFA, by hurting those clubs, loopholes will be ignored or rules scrapped. If they are smart, they will address it via things including and not limited to: wage caps, clubs needing the cash upfront for huge transfers otherwise a transfer not exceeding a certain amount of gross income broken up over a set period, restrictions on agent fees.

b) Of course Roman cant bankroll the team forever, he doesn't even live forever! Hopefully Roman has a long reign at the bridge, long and wise enough to leave a self sufficient club at the top level or failing that at least another extremely wealthy man with loose pockets a passion for the game.

12 I was actually gutted about facing you in the FA final as your the club after Chelsea who I'd back to win silverware and really feel Moyes deserves some.

13 Good I hope.

14 Yes. Sad thing is that it's probably the neighbours keeping away purchasers away!

15 3-1 Chelsea, a lively match.

16 Really depends on the line-up. Good: Width in the attack, midfielders making runs into box, hopefully a quick passing game, CBs pushing ball up. Bad: Seemingly indirect free kicks near the box, right hand side on defence

17 see 15

18 Chelsea top 3, Everton around 6-8th

Just watching your last couple games (on dodgy streams mind), when did Distin become the good defender and Jagielka the crap one? Is it just the last 2 games, me seeing things, or Jagielka being affected by the non-move to Arsenal?

no its been like that for a while mate, Jags needs benching, we have a Dutch international in Heitinga on the bench who should be in the team, Distin makes Jags look better than he is, same as when Jags played with Lescott, dont get me wrong he is good, but he seems to thrive on confidence, and he has none at the moment

Some of Moyes selection baffles me. Coleman on the right midfield when he is comfortable and adds a lot more at right back and not picking Bilyaletdinov since Pienaar has meant Everton's game is far more limited in attack. Also consistently playing Cahill upfront does not win too many fans but the biggest concern to Everton fans should be Moyes's negative mindset.

Firstly just want to say listen to nothing that that MKBLUE individual said regarding lampard, absolutely awful poster on this site.

I think he may have been being ironic.

its an ongoing issue tbh, square pegs in round holes, it just seems his way tbh, Coleman is NOT a midfielder, he's a right back, but we have no one else to play right hand side of midfield, as for Billy, well we would be better off with Gueye, young French player,Billy is useless tbh, but Moyes seems to have gone off him, and he's not even making the squad at the moment.

i noticed a few peoples answers to one of the questions about Everton players they would like to see, Rodwell has a mixed feeling among the evertonians, he's very in and out, if you all want him, you are welcome to him imo lol, we will keep Barkley, he IS the new Gerrard and then some.
