A Chelsea spokesman said: ‘A knife was found on the premises at a time when only cleaning and building contractors had been on site. The club has determined that it did not belong to any player or staff member as the area was sealed off and we are satisfied it is not a matter of concern. The matter is closed.

That's what it should be, but of course it isn't. I'm just surprised they didn't manage to link the Cole BB gun incident with this non-story.

Well hey! From gunshot wounds received in the dressing to just a simple knife laying in the dressing room months late.... and not actually used on anyone...... thats called progress!

Sky is just breaking the news that a fork was found near by, I expect the CPS will get involved now.

Oh and by the way, Neil Ashton "journalist" on Talksh*te this morning, who was sceptical about which sort of tradesman uses a 7 inch kitchen type knife, the answer is, a Lagger.....

In the event that a police officer may be involved his colleagues are waiting in the wings to destroy the evidence.

It wasnt even anything to do with senior players, it was actually found in a changing room used by junior players. What a non-story.

Maybe we're going to sign him January, he'd sort our defence out. Wouldn't play him goal though.
