Butch said there was so much smoke that there was probably fire. But perhaps it was just a smoke machine.

I am impressed that he has chosen to conduct himself so well in public.

He said all the right things.

I'm sure, reading between the lines, that what smoke there is here is coming from a fire, but whether it turns out to be a bush fire or a damp squib will depend almost entirely on how results go over the second part of the season.

Hmmm...I wasn't exactly refering to the Sheva situation, more about the Jose v Roman situation; thus my reference to Jose's interviews.

I do believe Sheva is a favorite of Roman's, but I don't believe he is the type to take advantage of that, nor is Jose the type to allow it to happen. In that regard, I believe that Roman did have some sort of say in this signing, but that Jose probably did not resist as Sheva is a first class striker. But if Sheva is having problems settling in, Jose will start him on the bench and allow someone else who is playing better to play. I just really hope, and I have to trust, that Jose has not and will not use Sheva against Roman (by dropping him and alienating him). That would be of no use to anyone.

I haven't a clue how much of the Roman v Jose thing is true, but I have a feeling there is some truth to it. Jose does not seem very happy on the transfer front. And we seem to be stalling on what should be a very quick and easy signing for us (much needed into the bargain)!

Cheers,

Butch

Sheva has conducted himself with class and dignity as usual, he trys hard on the pitch and has not even come out and complained about the system not suiting him (as far as I know) which he could well do as an excuse.

he knows he is not doing it and believes he will get his form back and I for one dont doubt him.

He in my opinion was a signing urged by Roman and maybe Roman has also urged Jose to keep playing him, Remember when he played every game though and Jose said He has scored, now I can drop him? that seems like its always been Jose's decision and a lot of this is just more Press Bull.

The transfer saga now is the worry, why have we not strengthened the squad when we badly need two players? is it just the right players are not availlable?

If we dont buy/loan anybody and we still win the title Surely Jose will be offered anything he wants for next season as it will be some managerial feat to galvanise the team into a mentally strong winning unit like they have been and with a very thin squad it would be Jose's biggest achievemnt yet.

I`ve got no offense for neither Sheva or Abramovich nor Mourinho.

All of that we can see is called `Life`.

IF Sheva is so good, and he is good indeed, then he must show it on a pitch.

Mourinho had won back to back titles and I believe nobody can insist that Sheva`s bad form is Mourinho fault. That`s not right.

"Mourinho can handle all the best, but Sheva" - nonsense!!! Now I insist! icon_twisted.gif

sheva has won a few things in the last few years... so he is infallible. And if JM took a rocket launcher and exploded 3/4 of the defensive lineup it couldn't be a mistake because he's won 2 titles in the last 2 years. oh yes

Oh give me a 442 Essien on the right robben on the left lampard playing with sheva/drogba in the middle and maka holding it all together. Seems obvious.

folk,s all this is, to some extent, reminding me of the press earlier season Lampard. Honestly, because Frank wasn't on form as he had been in the last couple of seasons, it was his fault. He regains form, so the press need someone else to attack.

Now this time around it becomes Sheva. He scored so much before, and now he isn't so it is all his fault. Oh, and he talks Russian. well, no need to give into the logic of translatin, we should just assume he is talking sh*t about his team mates, and telling Roman who to get to replace Jose in order to allow him to perform.

I am so glad he has grasped some of the finer intricacies of the english language...."it's Bullsh*t"
