Hi all,

 

My name is Dan, in case it wasn't obvious. More importantly I have been a Chelsea fan since I was a young boy (my Dad and Grandfather are also Chelsea fans) and am now 18 and about to study in London, I hope to get to many more games at the Bridge as I will be living very close by. Never really been part of a forum before but have lurked on this and a few other forums and thought it was time to join up. Hope to add to some discussions on here and make sensible conversation :).

 

Few things about my time as a Chelsea fan:

 

Favourite player of all time has to be Frank Lampard. I have some much man-love for this guy. Terry is a close second.

 

Best moment has to be that night in Munich... predictable answer.

 

I am most certainly not a fan of Torres but do my best to not slag him off.

 

The worst moment for me was when Robbie was sacked, first time I have ever felt ashamed of the club for the manner in which they dealt with things. 

 

Anyhow, hope to have a good time here and have good discussions and debates with some of you, and maybe see a few at games later on!:)

I will be studying law at LSE (London School of Economics) in Sept 2013, grades permitting. So long as I don't screw up my A levels ;)

My all time favourite has to be Zola, but Lampard is up there close too :-) . That said, I think he should take a pay cut if he wants to retire in the Bridge. Otherwise he can go and make fortune abroad like other legends have done in the past, no shame in that.

 

I agree about Torres, not because of the quality - he has it - but because he look not arsed way too often. I think he will get a good run and then he's likely to be shipped to Spain when we can get some value back (never 50M mind). Or maybe he can ship him back to Liverpool with the FSW.

 

About the FSW... I won't complain if results go our way but he's Liverpool through and through and he should leave as soon as the season ends. I might be old fashioned but we cannot have a manager who really wants to be elsewhere. I don't give much regard about the bile comments about the fans, because I think that was just banter and mind games. Jose and Ferguson also do that kind of thing.

 

I'm not too keen on Ba to be honest. I think he's a flavour of the month striker that will go the way of Carroll and possibly be a great piece of business for Newcastle. David Villa is great but he will last too little. If we are going to sign a striker I think we should go all in and buy Falcao. If not Falcao then maybe Negredo. Otherwise I'm afraid we might get someone who wouldn't improve on Sturridge.

 

I've lurked for a while, and I look forward to participate from now on. See you in the Bridge.

By the way, I went to the pinned topic in this section looking for the rules, but I cannot find them.

Hi there, the link does exactly the same for me. I wouldn't worry about it to be honest, as long as you're polite and can have a sensible discussion on these boards then I doubt you will be in breach if the rules.

Agree about Benitez, I want a manager that is in it 'for the long haul' as I greatly value managerial stability, but that is unlikely with Roman as the owner. Falcao would be a dream but can't see it happening in January to be honest, Cavani would be great too but same story. We always knew this season was going to be a 'transitional' phase where we shouldn't expect to win the title, but I can't help but feel that a prolific no. 9 is what is holding us back.
