Posted February 2, 200718 yr I believe we are now just 1 game away from equalling the great Liverpool team of the late 70's early 80's all time record of 62 home games without defeat in the top flight. This to go along with JM 's other records in his short spell in english football: The only manager to win the league in his first season both at a new club and in a new country. The best home record of all time in a top flight season. The most away wins in a top flight season. The most clean sheets in a top flight season. The least goals conceded in a top flight season.(15 will take some beating, and we let in a couple&droped points having already wrapped up the league that year) The most points ever won in a top flight season. Any more records we have broke over Jm's reign you can think off please join in. You can see why the club would consider letting him leave cant you History? were making it.
February 2, 200718 yr Any more records we have broke over Jm's reign you can think off please join in. Has Jose got the record for the most records (of any Chelsea manager) ?

I was under the impression that we needed to stay unbeaten at home until the end of the season to equal that record. Last I heard we were on 56 games.

February 2, 200718 yr I guess most consecutive cleansheets/the longest period of time without conceding is a record that's ours too. We've got the midfielder with the Premiership records for most goals in one season(by a midfielder) and the most consecutive appearances(by any player, including goalkeepers). That's right...history in the making.
February 2, 200718 yr If I'm not mistaking we have a record in the best start of a season or something. Or was it longest time without conceding a goal at the start of the season? And I believe Cech has some kind of a record for longest time without letting in a goal, right? About the undefeated run at home I'm not sure we're already there. Last I heard we needed to stay unbeaten until like the end of the season. We just have to wait a bit longer for that record that's all

He is a dislikable fecker, but he has acheived a lot since his arrival.
February 2, 200718 yr by beating Blackburn, our current unbeaten home sequence in the Premiership is stretched to 57 matches. Liverpool's record is 63 games. Should this sequence continue unblemished for the rest of the season, wecan equal that on the last day of thecampaign, when Everton visit us on 13 May.
February 2, 200718 yr We also hold the record for being the club with no history having the most history.
February 2, 200718 yr I wish that record of Liverscums was'nt mentioned until it had been broken.I don't like tempting fate.

February 2, 200718 yr No reason why he shouldn't last long enough (if he wants to) and certainly no reason to think he wouldn't be able to command a managerial spot at a top club wherever he goes so no reason why he can't achieve what Fergie has and quite possibly more. He may even go on to be a success at international level - something Fergie never took to which is why he never stayed in the post long.
