Isco v Schurrle..

Featured Replies

Much news at the moment about Schurrle and his expected/rumoured move to the Bridge but with Isco around the same price it's hard to say who'd be better at CFC. Isco rumours are based around City but I thought CFC had signed a best buddy agreement with Malaga recently which, I imagine, will lead to CFC loaning Malaga FC players for the coming seasons. When we loan we want something in return so, Isco should be first refusal really. Schurrle is said to be faster on the wing but Isco can play right wing/side but is more creative than Schurrle. Or do we just have enough Spaniards and an industrious German be better suited to CFC right now.

Which of the two would be a better buy long term?

If we are comparing whos the better player Id say Isco. If we are talking who we would rather have at Chelsea Id take Scurrle 10/10 times. Unless we are trying to field a starting eleven were everyone has the exact same attributes.

I've gradually been convinced Schurrle would be a good signing. Isco is definitely the better player at the moment but I think Schurrle's 'ability ceiling' is higher than Isco's, and he has attributes that our squad currently lacks.

Therefore my preference would be Schurrle.

According to Graham Hunter we were first in the race for Isco but he wasn't sure on joining us because he thought he would struggle to get games.I absolutely love both players but Isco is currently the better player, better technically anyway but he is very similar to what we already have.Schurrle is a different type of player to any we have so in our squad so he is more of a need.

Wish we could get both, play Oscar deeper which leaves a space for a player in the 3 attacking positions. Hazard,Mata,Isco,Schurrle and Moses, I'd hate to see Isco at City.

Remember when you signed a player and you didn't know anything about them. Couldn't watch football from all over the world or youtube compilations and then they would come on and you had no idea what you were getting.

I remember when we signed Roy Wegerley.(excuse the spelling)

He came over from Australia i think......had a trial and he was such an unknown entity and he was'nt a bad player for us at the time either. Even players from Britain you didn't know to much about, Gordon Durie was a pleasant surprise when he signed.

Of course there is always the other end of the coin and seeing Dave Mitchell make his debut was hilarious, people were literally holding their heads in their hands thinking who on earth signed him.

Oh those were the days, you only really get that now watching the youth sides. There is a lot less of the unknown about footballers these days and i kind of miss it.
