Diego Costa to Chelsea

Featured Replies

Fair enough. You believe that there's an agenda specifically against this club if you want but it's remarkably naive in my opinion. We've spoken before on this subject and I thought we found some middle ground, that the only agenda the media have is to make money and they do that by creating controversy and conflict.

We're a big club, when stuff involves us it has a fair wider reach. If it involves Liverpool then even more so.

There's your agenda.

Thinking there's a specific agenda against us is absolutely ridiculous and you can't name a single person who you actually think would orchestrate this, nor can you think of a reason for this to happen that doesn't feed some way into some existing victim complex.

In the words of Chelsea supporters, 'Always the victim, it's never your fault'.

Find me the sports columnist that condemned the decision to give the captaincy to Ryan Giggs.

Niall Quinn's commentary last night ..

"You can see why Chelsea might feel that was a penalty."

Er, why don't you just say it was a penalty you c**t.

Absolute joke! Knew that playing liverpool would result in a witchhunt against us. Can't believe they've banned him without a proper investigation. Surely the FA's prosecuting system should correspond to the British legal system.

The bias is disgusting. I will admit that Niall Quinn was slightly less biased than when he was commentating at Anfield. However, it's a disgrace that he is allowed to commentate. Commentary is mean to be impartial. So fu*in angry atm.

People saying the stamp on can wasn't deliberate need to take the blue tinted glasses off. On the other hand I think it is also extremely hard to deny that there isn't an ongoing agenda against us from the fa and media.

We never have and never will be liked by the media but I wouldn't change a thing in that aspect. The fa however is a different story completely. They run our game in this country and have a job to remain partial at all times but they simply don't when it comes to chelsea. Make no mistake if aguero did what costa did on saturday we would all be up in arms about it and rightly so. The question isn't if costa's punishment is deserved. The question is would players from the other big clubs in the division be punished for doing the same and all evidence from the past suggests that no they wouldn't.

What can we do about it? Stick drogba in for saturday and watch him destroy city!

Banned who ? No one has been banned. All that has happened is the FA have charged him. And right so, in my view - let's face it, we all knew he would do something some day. Let's just hope he learns.

Sure, once you've found the column I've asked for.

That's not how these things work. You've asserted that there's a media driven agenda (love that phrase, because the media is all one homogenous whole ran, presumably, by lizard people?) specifically against us yet can't say WHO is behind it or WHY they're behind it.

Most people on this thread seem to agree there is an agenda, so you're going to try harder without the snarkiness to change our minds since you're in the minority.

I'm happy to be in the minority if I believe I'm right. The snark is because I'd hate for this to develop legs like it did on the Bluemoon forum and become something that oppo fans rip us for.

But if you want to tell me who is driving this agenda (please don't just say 'the meeja') and why then that's at least an advancement in the argument.

Nope, I can explain, because it's obvious, but I had already asked you to find me a column written by a sports journalist, so either find it, or explain why you can't.

Alternatively you can just continue trying to belittle people, which appears to be your diversionary tactic of choice.

Well, I'm with Blue Daze on this. Suggesting there is a some sort of media conspiracy against us is far fetched. Besides, it's a bit like a serial shoplifter saying the police are harassing them because they keep arresting them when they steal things.

The simple truth is we give these people ammunition . If Jose just shut his mouth a bit more perhaps the 'media' wouldn't report on his poor choice of phrase so often.

There's a difference between what is here and Bluemoon, people have explained clearly with legitimate reasons why there could be one, it's not far fetched. On Bluemoon there is genuine stuff like UEFA vs all english clubs, but they mix it in with ridiculous and baseless ones like Roman giving money to PSG to buy Luiz.

As far as who is driving this agenda, well we don't have to have a positive ID. It could be anyone, a director at Sky or whatever. I mean who decided to write the 'Diego Costa Crimes' tag? I can't possibly find a name for that.

Yup, great plan, let's all shut our mouths and follow orders like the little sheep we are.

Good on Jose for standing up for the club and rightfully so!

I'm not going to look. I'm going to say that there was no kerfuffle kicked up about Ryan Giggs being made captain.

And I am belittling a little bit and for that I apologise. But it's mainly out of disbelief and frustration that such a silly argument is being made. You're asserting that there's an agenda but you don't know who by and you don't know why.

A director at Sky. Do you mean someone on the board or someone who works in the studio?

Is this going anywhere? We can both agree that neither of us knows for a fact what goes on behind the scenes. So neither of us can be proven to be right, there are only our opinions.

I can't provide facts that there is an agenda but you can't prove that there isn't.

He stepped over the mark last night and will deservedly be punished. His aggression his fantastic to watch but it has to be properly used. Wind the oppo players up, give it to their fans etc. but stamping is a sh*tty thing to do.

Yup, great plan, let's all shut our mouths and follow orders like the little sheep we are.

Right. So you are encouraging him to break the code of conduct of a manager and yet complain of some agenda when he gets pulled up for it ? My analogy of the shoplifter is spot on then.

Of course you've looked. You looked up Rio Ferdinand when no-one asked you.

I can't disprove the existence of something for which there is little to no evidence of (I was kind there and said there was a little evidence).

Even if you can't prove or disprove something surely you could explain the reason why it might exist.

Right. So you are encouraging him to break the code of conduct of a manager and yet complain of some agenda when he gets pulled up for it ? My analogy of the shoplifter is spot on then.

When did I complain about Jose getting pulled up for it? I said he shouldn't care and they can stick their fines, please if you're going to quote me get it right.

Managers should be free to critise sh*te refereeing, simple as that. Jose isn't the only one who has done it this year, there is no accountability for abysmal refereeing performances.

Your analogy was sh*te, if said shop lifter done nothing wrong in the instance they were arrested and there was no concrete evidence to prove otherwise, they'd file a complaint against the police & win.

Just because you do something wrong once, doesn't mean it's the same every single time.

Of course you've looked. You looked up Rio Ferdinand when no-one asked you.

That would be the media furore around Rio Ferdinand of Manchester United missing a drugs test and being banned for 8 months right?

I assume your point is why there wasn't a furore in the media about Ryan Giggs being made captain for Team GB despite being found to have slept with his brother's missus....OK.

I can't disprove the existence of something for which there is little to no evidence of (I was kind there and said there was a little evidence).

Even if you can't prove or disprove something surely you could explain the reason why it might exist.

Yes with the trends, Aguero and various other City players not getting banned, the time to take action has been drastically reduced for this one case. Trends aren't hard evidence but it is something, no smoke without fire. This trend as evidence can be reinforced in the future if say, another player gets away again or takes a week to ban him. You can see why people feel hard done by at least? You're making it sound like we're pulling this out of our arses.

When did I complain about Jose getting pulled up for it? I said he shouldn't care and they can stick their fines, please if you're going to quote me get it right.

If you are going to quote me.....

I said 'when they steal things'. The inference that they are clearly guilty.
