Diego Costa to Chelsea

Preposterous.

Sex sells, the Olympics sells, scandal sells.

This was a big story.

The public would have lapped it up, instead we got silence.

Fine. Now would you mind answering some of my questions considering we've so slavishly gone over why there was no story on Ryan Giggs being made Team GB captain?

You don't think the public would want to read a story about one of the most famous footballers in the country, who plays for the most famous team in the country, who was made captain of the Olympic football team had been shagging his brothers wife for 8 years? Again, don't be so ridiculous.

They read that story....six months or so before. That's why it was sort of a big story at the time, although it wasn't reported on at first because of the superinjunction and the superinjunction story because a MUCH bigger story. You have to place it in context.

If you're asking then why no-one kicked up a fuss about Giggs being captain, there are a number of possible reasons. One is simply that it probably didn't have a huge amount of public interest six months after the fact.

Six months, is that all?

Within six months he was bestowed with the captaincy of the first ever football team to represent Britain in the Olympics, on home soil no less.

A married father had been banging his brother's wife for eight years, one of the most celebrated footballers in the world.

Come on, try harder.

The problem with stating 'facts' on the internet is , using Google, it's very easy to disprove...

Might i remind you that wiki is a website that can be updated by anyone, however i obviously over exaggerated but the point remains the same, for instance the 2 goals late 80s by aldridge were sh*t but editor a LFC fan

Do you actually want to have an honest discussion about an agenda against Chelsea or not?

Jesus wept.

Here goes then.

'When he went to the park'

'When he drove the car down the road'

'When he stole some food'

Now, all of them, by implication, are stating that the writer is suggesting the actual acts took place. He did drive the car, it is not a case of he may or may not have. Do I really need to explain the construct of a simple sentence ? I'm not going to counter your points when you don't actually understand what I was saying to begin with. Comedy that you are accusing me of ignorance.

we're going in circles, to say Jose should not comment and speak out against poor officiating & poor coverage is ridiculous, if no one speaks out, nothing gets changed. You're entitled to your opinion though.

I know all about Wikipedia. You are correct, of course, but it is also very heavily moderated by people with beards and automatically updates the author should their article be edited at all. These days anything not correct or edited is soon changed. All the fun was drained out of Wikipedia when broadband became popular.

I'm having an honest discussion.

If you can't see other clubs hold more sway with the media that's your look-out.

It's safe to say I disagree, strongly.

We're the whipping boys of the press and it's been that way since Roman arrived.

Just my opinion.

But you said it was a media-driven agenda, now you're saying that it's the press offices of these clubs manipulating the press.

Here is the video:

Good luck trying to prove that this is deliberate. It's a step on the foot, no unatural movement from Costas part and Costa is focusing on the ball..

Costa just walks over him....If that's a stamp.....I stamp on my dog on a daily basis, always under my bloody feet he is.

I will say that some of the reasons we're the whipping boys are self-inflicted.

I've gone into it before and I might go into it again, when I'm so inclined.

We went after the England manager, Eriksson, we went after Liverpool's captain, we tapped up Arsenal's left-back, we tapped up Tottenham's technical director, we poached Utd's chief executive. Big, blue-chip, established clubs.

We became ruthless in our pursuit of victory. We became the big, bad guys and I understand that, and everybody needs a common enemy, and the media understand that, but the idea we get treated the same as everybody else?

Nah, not having it.

Sorry but that is a definite red card any day of the week.

If you deliberately harm a player like that, which he did, I can't get away with that not being intentional from Costa at all, especially given his reputation, then it is a definite red card.

Some people need to put themselves in a position of, if a Liverpool player did that to one of ours, you're telling me you would say that's a yellow card? Bollocks.

So have you decided if it's media driven or 'more established clubs' using their sway to manipulate the press?

You also haven't actually revealed your experience of the media and the way it actually works....in reality.

See, I can see why you might think there's an agenda....and I can see why City fans think the same, why Liverpool fans moan about the London-based media elite etc. But you can't answer the most simple questions which fundamentally undermines your argument. Sorry.

Our problems with the press well pre-date Roman buying the club. Ken Bates had got on the wrong side of them long ago and it's never been a good relationship since.

We're the only thing to come out of England to beat the Germans and get panned for it. I'm sure it isn't a planned campaign or conspiracy against us but they simply do not like us.

I would say he was a dirty little c**t, i wouldnt be demanding he was banned for 3 games for violent conduct, because that is not violent conduct

I agree with the judgment of him being suspended, rightly so, that isn't acceptable behavior and it was silly on his part.

But I also want Mourinho to bring this up more often because the F.A. inconsistency is astonishing. How many times have these incidents occurred? Does it really have to be brought up in the media just for action to be taken? It's an absolute shambles the way the F.A. run the game. It's a two way street, it's either you ban players for that or you don't, not just I'll ban him but lets not take action on this game.

I seriously hope Mourinho brings this up because it really is bull sh*t the way the F.A. are running things.

'They', 'the media'.....why can't anyone be specific?

The media are not a homogenous gloop. They're humans, individuals and that applies at every level of every outlet.
