Out: Kalas, Piazon, Romeu, Remy, Mikel, Feruz, Davila, Kane, Kakuta, McEachran, Marin, Drogba, Omeruo

In: Bamford, Howedes, Khedira, Ibrahimovic (but realistically, Adebayor), Green, Nathan (already signed??)

Why would you want Kalas gone? Did you not see the game he had against Liverpool last season? He has massive potential and I can see him replacing Ivanovic as our future RB. Omeruo as well has great potential and could be a useful squad player in the future.

Also bringing in Khedira would be a waste imo, hes not worth it. I'd rather have RLC be that squad player who comes on last few minutes of a game instead of him or mikel. Ibra and adebayor i definitely hope not either.

If Douglas Costa is on Joses list id be stunned.

The guys a terrible footballer

Agreed, bringing in Douglas Costa would be a complete waste of money

1. It's the Express.

2. It's saying it'll be a swap deal (do they ever happen?).

True, but athletico have been interested in trying to bring back Luis so there is some potential. Also would help us get Koke for less $$

Kalas, credit where it's due he put in a shift v Liverpool, but for me that doesn't justify his 'massive potential' - good RB/CB for Middlesbrough or a struggling Premier League team at best.

Khedira - out of contract in the summer (good for FFP), can provide cover for a number of midfield roles (i.e. holding, box to box, advanced), if Mikel is sold we'll need to bring in a replacement... tactically Jose may look to adopt last season's 4-3-2-1 to accommodate RLC... one of Jose's "untouchables";

Ibra - say what you like about his personality, for me he's still one of the best - his experience could be useful for next season's CL campaign... if PSG sign Pogba wouldn't surprise me if we make a speculative enquiry. Failing that Jose seems to favour having a target man in the squad... if Drogs moves on, Adebayor will be out of contract?

I don't understand why anyone would want to get rid of Remy when he's' had a very good goal scoring record so far.

Just because of his injuries mainly.

Costa's likely to miss 10 games or more a season if the last two years are anything to go by and Remy's equally prone to spending time out injured.

If we can bring in someone that can play on the wing and up front for a respectable fee then I don't think cashing in on Remy is the worst idea.

Remy's record with injuries is very good though, he's struggled this season but that's very much a first.

Costa on the other hand has been struggling for 2 seasons now.

Ibra's experience would be useful for next seasons CL? That guys one of the biggest bottler in CL history when it matters the most.

Haha point taken!

However I wouldn't be surprised seeing him leave Utd/Monaco at the end of the season and joining a club like Real. If Remy/Drogba leave I think we need an experienced back up to Costa, I am struggling to think of someone who could be available.

I don't really know what will happen to Falcao, surely Man Utd won't keep him around. I'm not sure Monaco will be able to afford to keep him and I'm not entirely sure any team which can afford his wages will actually want to sign him. PSG maybe? If Cavani/Ibrahimovic leave then they will need a new centre forward.

Falcao now faces a similar struggle to what Torres found here, his form is out the window and has been since he returned form that injury in the summer while he’s not scoring goals.

Monaco are cutting back so they can’t keep him on while the top European clubs won’t gamble on a guy on more than 200k p/w when his form is so poor.

You have a ridiculously expensive player pushing 30 who’s not recovered his form since a bad injury…I don’t see great things for Falcao other than a few token loans.

Has he really had that many injury issues this season? Seems to me he only gets injured when Costa get injured which is a bit of an inconvinience, but he still seems to be on the bench every time Costa starts.

He's been injured for maybe 3 months of the season, to me that is a lot, especially for a player who isn't playing a lot of competitive matches.

Just when we needed him the most, with Costa's hamstring injury reoccurring against Stoke Remy picked up a calf injury and has been "50/50" to play ever since according to Jose and has missed 4 games and only been fit enough to sit on the bench for the 5th.

Possibly bad luck but considering I think he was a club signing rather than a Mourinho one (his low release clause made him an easy option) I don't think Jose would object to selling him for a profit and helping to secure a player he feels is more suited to the teams needs.

I don't think there will be much turnover. New backup keeper and a new striker. We'll have a few more buys but they will be to loan out and sell on later. New striker will be Mauro Icardi

Considering the age of kalas and how he performed on the big stage, I do think he has great potential.  He's not even 22 yet and he's showing signs of his class. I think he's worth keeping for sure.

Khedira i feel would be a waste as he's very injury prone as it is and not even proven in the prem so idk how he'll fair.

Ibra would be good but unrealistic

My little shake-it-all-about plan for next season:

In (5):

Goalkeeper

Defender

Central Midfielder

Winger-forward

Striker

To leave:

Cech 10m?

Drogba

Mikel 10m?

Ramires 15m?

Salah 15m?

Moses 7m?

Kakuta, Marin, etc

-----------------------------

Squad (23):

Gk:

Courtois

Keeper (Green? Vorm?)

Blackman

Df:

Terry

Cahill

Zouma

Richards (Free, English, 2 positions, Still 27)

Ivanovic

Azpilicueta

Luis

CM:

Matic

(Pogba/Imbula/Schneiderlin/Gomes)

Fabregas

Oscar

Van Ginkel

Loftus-Cheek

WG/AM:

Hazard

(Griezmann/Reus/Sterling/Isco/Walcott*/Pedro*)

Willian

Cuadrado

CF:

Costa

Benteke/Lacazette/Remy

Solanke/Bamford

Though I'd update my earlier post, with my preferred squad list for next season:

Out: Ramires, Mikel, Luis, Drogba, Oscar, Salah, Kakuta, Marin, Moses, McEachran, Davila

In: Koke, Bamford, Romeu, Baker, Kalas, Griezmann

GK: Courtois, Cech, Blackman

Defence: Terry, Cahill, Ivanovic, Azpilecueta, Zouma, Kalas, Ake

CM: Matic, Cesc, Koke, Loftus-Cheek, Romeu

AM: Hazard, Griezmann, Willian, Cuadrado, Baker

CF: Costa, Remy, Bamford,

Of course if there are injuries or other problems then a list of backup players: Brown, Solanke, Christensen, Traore? Swift? Chalobah?
