Frank Leboeuf: From football to acting in Oscar-nominated film

17 February 2015 Last updated at 11:40 GMT

The former Chelsea and France footballer, Frank Leboeuf, has become the first person to win the World Cup and have a role in a film nominated for Best Picture at the Oscars.

In the Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything, he plays a Swiss Doctor in a pivotal scene where the physicist is told that he will not be able to speak again.

Many people have stayed in the cinema to read the end credits to make sure it really is him.

Colin Paterson went to meet him in Paris where he is currently on stage in a play.

He's here, he's there....hes quite clearly, every f**king where!

I watched that the other night and was like 'hold on a minute...He's here, he's there!'

The greatest Leboeuf for me was when he went off for treatment right in front of the opposition fans (when they were in the East Lower) and as they proceeded to chant abuse at him, he turned around and began conducting them.

Legend.

Against Leicester. In the last minute.

I was sat (well stood actually) at the very back row of the MHL when that flew in...what a strike. The roof came off the place.

My ST is in the second row of the MHU and just to the left of the goal as you look from the pitch. Had a great view of the shot and goal. As you say, the roof came off the place. The Leicester goalie - I can't remember his name - made some great saves during the match. Thought we'd never score. And then up stepped Frank.

I have to admit, after the world cup I did buy into the whole "I don't care, I've won the world cup" BS that was floating around and it slightly turned me off Franc.  However, he's been great on TV whenever I've seen him, and he was a great defender and penalty taker.

He's here, he's there, we're not allowed to swear
