I see Cambiasso is being linked with us? Class player in his day and could still do a job as back up to Matic but at 34 would we really sign him?

I haven't actually seen this rumour anywhere.

Only way it would happen is if Ramires or Mikel left and considering this would only be a 12 month deal I don't think it's a good idea looking so short term.

I'd take him over Mikel, but that isn't saying much.

i don't know if he's an upgrade over mikel at 34, but he's fantastic last season at leicester, and if he able to continue his form from last season than it's worth the gamble if mikel goes

Agreed, I want RLC to break through this season, seems short sighted to stall his development for another player that is so old.

I saw the stories in a couple of london mags. London 24 and Brentwood Gazette so not the greatest sources but then checked sky bet and he is backed down to 2/1 to join us!!

Would seem a good signing;

 

 - If last season's CL tie v PSG is anything to go by, we're still short of a centre mid with experience

 - Given Vidal's move to Bayern i'd be surprised if Pogba moves this summer

 - RLC will hopefully get his chance but until proven otherwise can't be relied upon when it matters

sorry to bump this thread when he isn't coming but i'd put this in the other footbal thread if I new how to. Just got to say that cambiasso even at leicester showed that despite his age he is an amazing player. If he was ten years younger I would have him over any midfielder in the premier league. Still remember when he was at inter and he totally dominated our midfield ( with jose's tactics aswell of course) amazing player. Wish him all the best.
